Hockey Equipment from Pure Hockey

It all started as a little hockey equipment shop in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1994. In the beginning, it wasn’t much different than all of the other hockey equipment shops selling hockey gear; except for one thing. The owner had a better idea. It is huge! The concept is better than anything anyone has ever done in the hockey business.

Through early 2008, it had grown to 6 locations throughout New England. In mid-2008, Pure Hockey merged with Breakaway Hockey another leading hockey specialty retailer. The combined business is now the largest retailer of hockey equipment in the Eastern US and among the largest in the country. The company currently operates 9 stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

But Pure Hockey isn’t the only good idea in the hockey industry. All over the place, brands like Bauer, CCM, Reebok, Warrior and Easton are putting out great product ideas. At Pure Hockey, our job is to create the environment in which kids and parents can see the product, learn about it and get fitted for it; all the while hanging out in a totally cool and nothing but hockey world.
