The Bauer Nexus 8000 Grip Hockey Stick is this year's premier item in the Nexus Line. The Nexus 8000 utilizes a classic mid kick flex profile that combines the best of both worlds from the Vapor APX line and the Supreme NXG line. This new model showcases Bauer's new PowerSense Blade Core that is meant to maximize puck feel, as well as stick durability. The Nexus 8000's features a Tru Mid Kick Flex profile that has evolved from the Nexus 1000's original design. The shaft gives players a much more responsive feel through a softened upper handle and lower hosel. New for 2014 is Bauer's all-new PowerSense Blade Core, which is lighter and has a better feel for the puck because of higher grade foams than the previous Nexus 1000! We believe this will be a big seller this year as Bauer continues to develop and improve the wildly successful Nexus line of their brand!

Blade toe cracked by Barry from Madbury, NH ratingsratingsratingsratingsratings

I do NOT recommend this stick. We purchased it around Christmas for our 14-yr-old Bantam player and within 45 days the tip of the blade toe had completely cracked open, exposing the core. The Bauer warranty is strictly limited to 30 days, so we are stuck with an obviously defective stick. Buyer beware of Bauer Hockeys lack of quality control, and unwillingness to extend a warranty by 15 days!
