Pure Hockey Says: Easton continues to redefine stick technology with the new Mako hockey stick. We found the most interesting elements to be the blade and the shaft. The sandpaper like substance on the exterior provides better tape grip (Z-Tac) and is what NHL players like and are using. This Z-Tac texture will hold your tape better and provide you with better grip on any exposed area. The tapered part of the shaft is actually all-white - Easton did their homework, talked with NHL goalies (including Jonathan Quick) about how they `see` the puck, etc and Easton took this feedback and said `advantage: shooter!` The blade is made to feel stiff to prevent flutter and break-down and the woven kevlar on the shaft keeps things strong and dampens any vibrations. The early verdict on this stick is flat-out superb.
Mako. Speed redefined. Speed isn`t just about up and down the ice. So much of the game is played in tigh spots. Making the quick move, the touch pass, getting the shot on net leads to one thing: scoring more goals. Quick pass. Quick shot. Quick hands. Mako.

SHAFT: Ballistic woven Kevlar wrap on the outer layer provides vibration dampening for improved puck feel and impact protection from slashes or shot blocking.
BLADE: The Mako blade uses a Multi-Rib construction to keep the blade stiff and accurate through your shot and prevents the core from breaking down to provide lasting performance. The Micro-Bladder process provides a lightweight blade with maximum core compaction.
NON-SKID BLADE COATING: Added blade texture provides better grip for the puck on any exposed section of the blade. Also adheres well to tape and keeps a tighter wrap through the game.
