Hello, my name is Mitchell Donahue and I am the manager of the Pure Hockey Store in Dover, New Hampshire (the site of the old Philbricks Hockey store). I started skating on local ponds in my home town of Kingston, New Hampshire at the age of 4. Shortly after that I started playing hockey and have been hooked ever since! I played high school hockey for Exeter High Blue Hawks and for Berwick Academy as a post graduate student. I attended and played hockey for the University of Southern Maine. Today I continue to play hockey in men’s adult leagues and tournaments.
I started my career in the hockey industry in 1989 as an employee of Philbrick’s Sports Center in Dover, NH serving as the hockey department head and purchaser for over 12 years. I enjoy all aspects of managing a hockey store, especially assisting young and new players to the sport. Through the years I have watched a few players I sold their first skates to make it all the way to NHL and many top colleges. I am technically orientated and like talking to customers about all their equipment needs. I specialize in skate fitting, sharpening and equipment repair.
When I am not at the store, around the rink or on the ice I enjoy spending time with my wife Laurie Mantegari and our daughter Amelia. We reside in Hampton, New Hampshire.
