These shins are good quality for the price however I found them to be very bulky.Maybe they would be good for someone with a bigger leg. Being a thin skater I didn't find them to be very comfortable at all. The strap system could also use a big upgrade. The one behind the knee at the top is fair at best. They don't velcro in the front so you don't get a very snug fit if you have slimmer legs. The lower strap is TERRIBLE! The plastic clip that it fits through is unreliable and really poor quality, and then the strap doubles back and secures diagonally down the calf. Wouldn't be a bad design if you enjoy having them come undone every time you put your socks on. I upgraded to the Bauer Vapor X60 and I have one word for you... ANCHOR STRAPS. Much more comfortable and way better quality with half the weight and bulk than these.
