RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, comfortable, not bulky Stopped wearing shoulder pads years ago as I just felt like they got in the way. Active in the mens league and pick up games. Separated and dislocated both shoulders snow skiing and felt like I needed a little protection but didn't want them the pads to get in the way. I realize these pads aren't going to protect a hard and fast shot to the chest, I can avoid those, but they will help with the unintended contact with a stick to the chest or upper back or puck deflecting off the ice or other unavoidable mishap. Probably bought pads which were too small for me, I am 6-2 190 lbs and got a Medium but I just wanted a little protection and these pads fit the bill and were reasonably priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple but great Shoulder Pads I bought these shoulder pads because they weren't bulky and they were lightwieght. Playing in a mens league I don't need to much protection for this league but still like to have a little bit on. With that being said I love the fit of them. I have had some shoulder pads that were just uncomforatble and bulky and made it harder to stick handle and obstructed shooting ability. these shoulder pads are great stick handling and shooting. But as the other reviews state if you are looking for protection, i would choose a different shoulder pad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good till someone actually hits you These pads are comfortable and light. All was good until I went to the net in a drop in game this afternoon and got a slapshot in the chest. The puck hit just under the bottom edge of the front of the pads. I am still hurting several ours later and sport a huge bruise. I am now considering going back to pads with a bit more protection on the front.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mens League Savior These shoulder pads are a must in NON CONTACT mens league. They are light and very comfortable. If you play in a rough mens league, I would advise against these. The shoulder pads offers protection, but not at a high level. I have had mine for over 5 years (Sherwood Traditional) and they are still going strong.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for men's league These pads are pretty much useless for protection. They cover the top of the shoulder pretty well, but the actual chest and back protection is non existent. In non checking leagues that require shoulder pads, these are perfect. Cheap, light weight, and well constructed. They do run a little small.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Shoulder Pads Extremely light for both transporting in a bag and putting on your shoulders. Runs a tad snug but you get used to it. Not a bad product for the price. Thankfully, I haven't had to depend on them to protect me. As a defenseman though, I'm licking my chops to collide with a weak skater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shoulder & Arm Protection Pads are ideal lightweight shoulder and arm protection. I'm 5'9"/190 lbs. and the large size fit perfectly. These pads won't offer significant protection when taking shots to the chest. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to avoid the bulk and weight of most shoulder pads.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good For Experienced Players These shoulder pads are perfect for advanced players who are used to giving and receiving hits, this products provides comfort, durability, and performance, however it lacks protection all around. Great Products, if your willing to trade protection for performance.

What size should I get for the Sherwood 5030 shoulder pads?

I'm 6'2" 215. My Bauer Supreme shoulder pads are xl's but I've received some conflicting statements about how the 5030's run size wise. Thanks for your help!
Asked by: Heipfam
I'm 6'1" 220 and I'd say xl or xxl depending on your build. I wear xxl and they fit fine for me
