Bauer Nexus N8000 Hockey Skate

The Nexus N8000 is not the Nexus Skate of years past! The fit profile of the Nexus line got a makeover this year, with the heel, ankle, and forefoot being redesigned to provide a closer fit. Now, Nexus is still Bauer's volume fit, so those of you who love the extra room in the boot don't fret. The changes were made in an effort to improve heel lock and provide a more comprehensive fit profile.

The Nexus N8000 is constructed with a Pro-level tech mesh nylon quarter package that provides ample stiffness while still remaining relatively lightweight. The interior of the skate is outfitted with Bauer's HYDRAMAX liner, and FORM FIT+ footbed, which come together to provide excellent moisture management, and heel lock to ensure that perfect balance of fit and volume. The return ofTuuk’s Lightspeed Edge Holderwill be a familiar friend for many, but a marked improvement for those who aren’t accustomed to the extra 3mm of height and the improved angle of attack that it offers, but obviously the star of the show is the trigger system which allows you to switch out the stock LS1 steel in a matter of seconds!

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Skates I can't say enough about these skates. I have issues with bunions on both feet so I needed a very large fitting toe box. These are the most comfortable skates I have had on my feet in YEARS....Right out of the box I might add. And anyone who has ever had to deal with the break-in process knows, they will only get better from here on out. I can actually start enjoying Reff'ing again and not be miserable with ill-fitting skates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Skate Bought this skate online from Pure Hockey. Skate fits like a glove and is very comfortable. Build quality is excellent especially for the money. I did swap out the LS1 for and LS4 blade. Very happy with this skate. Took it to my local Pure Hockey and they baked them and sharpened them for me giving me excellent service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bauer Nexus N8000 Skated in my new Nexus 8000 today and can't be happier. Didn't bake them, just put them on straight out the box and they felt like slippers for the whole 90 minute skate!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good skates Skated 3 times and they are close to broken in. Baked them at home following the directions. The inside padding is super soft. Could be too soft for some skaters.

What’s the difference between all the blades you can use on the Nexus 8000?

Asked by: Keithd
The difference between runners really comes down to the density and grade of steel used. The more expensive the steel, the higher quality it will be. A higher quality steel will hold an edge longer and may create more glide.

Hello, so it's been about 9 years since I last purchased ice skates. I'm trying to start up playing again and normally wore a 11.5 ee. Is the nexus d wide enough my last skate was Bauer vapor VII

Asked by: Glennda99
The nexus line is going to be a wider cut than the vapor line.
