PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Bauer RE-AKT 75 Combo Hockey Helmet

It's not up for debate. Your helmet is the most important piece of equipment in your hockey bag. As a leader in premier equipment Bauer knows this better than anyone, but they also knew that not everyone could afford an elite level helmet so the Re-AKt 75 was born. Outfitted with a comprehensive package of Bauer's best impact management systems, the 75 is ready to manage impacts of all types, directions, and velocities. The majority of the shell is lined with multi-density impact management foam. This is important because not all hits in hockey are bone rattlers, but they all send shock waves through your head and cause impacts inside the skull. Having a foam capable of compressing under a variety of impact speeds is essential. Bauer has also included their Poron XRD foam in the temples of the helmet to help protect the most sensitive part of your skull from even the most subtle shocks, as their Poron is capable of compressing with very little provocation. Finally, the back of the helmet is loaded with Seven+ Tech which you'll recognize from the IMS 7 and M-11 helmets of the past. Seven+ Tech is composed of plastic cylinders that are capable of absorbing shock and returning to rest much more quickly than conventional foams. The beauty of their presence in the 75 is the location - in the back of the helmet they'll be able to manage the shock of hitting the ice or boards after the initial check much more efficiently than a simple foam counter-part. Finally, Bauer's tool-less two-piece slide adjustment system combines with their new molded occipital support system to provide players with ample latitude to adjust their helmet to achieve that perfect fit.

RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best for my head Start off by saying I've had the 4500, ear openings very small and annoying. I then went to the 5100 better in many ways but the back of the helmet comes down so far when you look up it pushes it off your head. I hate helmets with tons of garbage and suspension straps on them. I finally tried the re akt 100 and to many parts and foam on the inside. The 75 is the best love the fit, very comfy and would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits great, comfy I bought this to replace a CCM. New CCMs are too wide for my head. This fits great on my narrow head and is exponentially more comfortable than the new CCM fit lights. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and protective for experienced players This helmet feels really comfortable on my head. It's also very protective. I'm a bantam in hockey and I've had no issues with head contact with this helmet. It's great for the price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bulky, but comfortable Bought this a month ago and it has been comfy. A bit on the heavy side, but perfect for intermediate players.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great helmet for the price! Fit - This helmet fits nicely on a narrower head like mine. I actually went down from a Large Warrior Krown 360 to a Medium Re-Akt 75 to get the proper fit on the side of my head. Definitely try the helmet on before buying it! Protection - Protection felt good! the various foams throughout the helmet are very comfortable and seem like it would protect my head very well. No impacts or any actual real world experiences with this helmet to report as of yet though. Weight - The weight of this helmet feels on par with my old Krown 360, possibly a bit lighter due to fewer components in the adjustment system. Durability - This was my biggest concern. My last helmet had the gear adjustment system in it to open/close the helmet while you are wearing it. While it is a fantastic idea, it lacked in a few areas, like a way to lock the adjustment in place once you are done. After having owned my previous helmet for 2 years, the slightest bump on the helmet would cause it to open all the way up. When I went looking for a new helmet, that was one of my biggest concerns. The Re-Akt has a adjustment system on the side that locks in place once you've made your changes, so it works out perfectly for what I was looking for! Conclusion - If you are looking for a mid-range helmet that won't break your budget, this would be an excellent helmet to consider! for $120, you cannot go wrong considering most top tier helmets are going for anywhere from $200 all the way up to $300 now-a-days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This a great helmet! I don't play in a checking league but occasionally it happens or you fall/get tripped. I upgraded my 4500 with this one. Immediate improvement. The helmet is a must and ranks highly on the Virginia Tech helmet study. Get your kid either this helmet or the new 200. Spend the money because it's your brain.

PRODUCT Q & A

Is this the closest option to the (now discontinued) 7100?

Asked by: KWood
Helmets have evolved quite a bit from the 7100. There really isnt anything that is a direct leap over.

how can i get the black with white vents????

Asked by: Neto
We don't have any Re-Akt 75 helmets with those particular specs at this time. We may get more in but when i could not say, the way to know would be to check the site from time to time.

can you use a mask from another bauer helmet on this helmet? Are bauer cages typically interchangable?

Asked by: DMT2
Typically, Bauer cages are fairly interchangeable. The most important factor is getting the size correct. It is recommended to wear a cage that is the same or within 1 size of the helmet.

Can we add a face cage to this helmet? How much more?

Asked by: Kmonti
This helmet is the non-combo model. We do offer combo models of most helmets, and you are also welcome to purchase a non-combo and cage separately. See below for a link to the Re-AKT 75 Helmet Combo http://www.totalhockey.com/product/Re-AKT_75_Helmet_Combo/itm/24822-2/?mtx_id=0

Is the "small" size measured for seniors or is that size regardless of youth, junior or senior? I like this helmet, but need it in a small for a kid - my 8 year old. Thanks.

Asked by: Giuseppe
Measure your child's head. Most accurate way to do it when using the size chart provided.
