PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Bauer Supreme 180 Hockey Skate is quite possibly the best deal in the Supreme line this year. It features many of the characteristics of the higher priced models, but at a great price point for you. The 180 features the Curv Composite quarter package that you will find on the 190 and the MX3 so you are getting a stiff, protective boot. In addition to this, and being fully heat moldable, the 180 features the Tuuk Lightspeed Edge holder that the Supreme line was lacking last year. This holder makes it easy for you to change broken or dull steel on the bench in just seconds! If you are looking for a Supreme fit, without the pro-level price tag, you should give the Supreme 180 a shot!

RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Skate For the Price Point I played D1 hockey ten years ago but just refferee and mens league now. i needed to upgrade my skates from the old Vapor XXXX's. I just don't need the top of the line anymore but still wanted a boot that would mold and hold up. The employee advised me to the 180's and i made the right choice. 500.00 bucks is a good median price for the custom molded feel and lightweight texture of the durable skate. I would buy again!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from wrong size fit for shoe size with similar Bauer skate in the store and ordered desired size on line to ship to store for baking and sharpening. When my son tried on at the store, skate way too tight. Migrated to a CCM skate. Thankful I did not send to home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 180s are Prefect More than a great skate for the price, as far as the rest of the line, we tried them all on. The comfort is perfect for mid level and experienced skaters. My son and I both own a pair of 180s as well as some different styles Vapors. I started on Nexus, and they were great, also I have a wide fit. But the supreme is built on a E size fit. After my Nexus's hit the two year mark they were too lose for me, so I needed a more sung fit, the Vapor is too narrow but the supreme is perfect for that wide foot. Add to the fact you can bake these at the local retailer, they became super perfect to my fit. I have never felt so good in a skate. The customer service these guys provide is more than great, no trouble at all, went in and had my 180s baked and sharpened in 30 mins. No complaining or service reps not wanting to do there jobs. Pro staff always willing to help. Im a life long customer. Thanks Justin, (@Lewisville Texas) Im a hockey dad and always involved with my son, these guys provided great answers and explantations to all my questions. No wonder your number one in the nation. Thanks Again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice skate, bad tongue I've been using the 180's for 9 months playing about once a week in an adult league. These were my first Bauer skates, previously used CCM's. I'm still not totally comfortable with the more set back pitch of these, but I have gotten used to it. I don't think the fit is absolutely perfect for me either, but it is pretty good. I do find that when I really get over top of these skates the energy transfers very well. The outside of the skate is pretty durable, and I haven't taken any shots that caused lasting pain. My main beef with these skates is the tongue and lace bite issues. The 180's use the curv composite which is much stiffer than what comes in the 170's yet it uses basically the same tongue as the lower models. The tongue really cant cope with the stiffness of this skate. I got terrible lace bite from it and the tongue padding broke down completely in a very short amount of time. The 190 and above have a hard piece in the tongue to combat this, so Bauer knew it was an issue. I put some gel pads in that fixed the issue, but this skate is in kind of a weird place where it has features from both the higher end of the line and the lower end. If they didn't cheap out on the tongue I would say these were very solid skates.

Are these skates have a deeper boot than vapor skates?

I have a severe lace bite problem. It's my biggest nightmare. I read online that the main reason for that is boot being too shallow for my feet. So I decided to ask you guys. What do you say about the possibility of a lace bite? NOTE: I had severe lace bite with APX 2 skates.
Asked by: Kaan
Yes, the Supreme line will have a higher volume than the Vapor line. This could improve the fit of the skate if your foot requires a deeper boot.

How do these fit compared to the Vapor line?

Asked by: Heipfam
Vapor is a tighter fit in the lower ball and toe area. Supreme is a wider and more sung fit, they offer greater comfort for those who need an amazing skate. The upper and the ankle area feels about the same to me. Both have great structure and stability. its really the how wide your fit is.

How do these skates compare to the Bauer Supreme One100 Ice Skates?

I have been skating on the Bauer Supreme One100 Ice Skates (http://www.totalhockey.com/product/Supreme_One100_Ice_Skates/itm/4184-41/) for about 6 years. I love these skates, but the outsole is starting to break down and it has me researching a replacement. I wanted to know how the Bauer Supreme One100 skates would compare to the Bauer Supreme 180 Ice Skates (http://www.totalhockey.com/product/Bauer_Supreme_180_Ice_Skates_%5bSENIOR%5d/itm/14986-41/). In addition would the steel in my original skates fit in the new runner style? Thanks
Asked by: Gibb
The fit of these skates will be consistent with the anatomical fit of the Supreme line. The Supreme 190 will have a more similar tongue to the ONE100 than would the Supreme 180. However, both skates will have enough similarities that they would be a good replacement for a previous Supreme skate.

are these the same as 1.8 model

my son wears 1.8 and needs next size up, are these the same?
Asked by: Heipfam
The One.8 and the 180 will not be the same skate. You can compare the differences here http://www.totalhockey.com/popupcompare.aspx?itm=|9204-41-1|14986-41-1|

How do these compare to the older Supreme One.9 skates?

Asked by: Heipfam
They will be very similar. The 180's will have a thicker tongue, higher level foot beds, and different style holders.
