The Bauer Vapor 1X Lite is the next evolution in their Vapor line. Offering brand new technologies and to improve durability and all-around performance while improving on the sticks weight. This stick is perfect for players who love to take quick release shots, but with the new improvements it offers many appealing qualities for every player type. QRT Plus Technology is reinforced with asymmetrical layers of carbon fiber on the taper. This helps create a more versatile Vapor stick. The addition of this carbon fiber on the taper will improve performance during one times, hard passes, and slap-shots while maintaining quick release characteristics. The TeXtreme Shaft Technology creates a lightweight, responsive and durable stick. Bauer has incorporated Advanced Carbon Layering which uses thinner and stronger internal carbon fiber layers to reduce weight but also improve durability. The Monocomp construction is a true 1-piece construction which maximizes energy transfer from handle to blade. Unlike 2-piece sticks, this 1-piece allows for even more energy transfer for more powerful shots. Bauer uses eLASTech resin to help stop cracks from spreading once they occur and keep the stick feeling newer for a longer period of time.

Does this stick come without griptac?

Asked by: Sweethands
You can order a custom one through Bauer's mystick customization program and it will cost the same. You can select a griptac and matte finish, however not a clear finish.

my son is 13, 5' 8.5" tall and 130 #. would a 77 flex be too high? seems so. maybe he still needs an intermediate but I feel he is on the end of that range. advice?

Asked by: kssalmi
Because of his weight I would still recommend an intermediate stick for the time being. Typically, you want the flex of your stick to be about half your weight in lbs.

I play forward at left wing and center, I previously played defense and used the 1S. I do not get enough whip on this stick. I was in debate whether to get the 1xlite or the ccm tacks 2.0. Need some guidance.

Asked by: cday17
If you were not getting enough whip on the stick, you should look at getting a lower flex stick.

I weigh 168 and I am left wing and was looking to get this stick. Would this be a appropriate choice of stick and I don’t know what flex to get. I like taking all kinds of shots on ice.

Asked by: Boys
Typically the flex of the stick should be about half your weight in lbs.. I would recommend a 77 flex if you plan on cutting the stick down. An 87 flex if you don't cut your sticks down.

I have been debating between the new 1X Lite for the low kick and the Tacks 2.0 for the mid kick. I am a defensman and would like to know which would be better for me being a defensman since I try to get off quick shots but also get a powerful shot.

Asked by: Connor B
The 1X Lite features a low kick point for quick motion shots while the Super Tacks 2.0 has a mid kick point for full motion shots like slap shots. It sounds like you might actually want to check out maybe a Bauer Nexus, CCM RBZ, or Warrior Alpha line stick if you want a stick that is more well-rounded for all game situations. These sticks have a kick point that will adjust to the location of your bottom hand.
