CCM transfered many of its major products and technologies over to the CCM brand name from Reebok, and the Ribcor line features some of the old technologies that we all loved about the Reeboks and then throw in a few features that CCM implemented.

CCM Ribor 42K Features

CCM has taken the previous Ribcor boot and had its researchers beef the skate up to include newer technology. The classic Pump has been upgraded to the CCM Advanced Pump, which is the most efficient Pump to date. If you are ever feeling looseness in the ankle of your skate, just a few pumps on the Ribcor 42K Pump skates will leave you locked in for hours! The Elite synthetic quarter package of the Ribcor 42K features lightweight support and a comfortable fit, as well as positioning you in an aggressive, attacking stance. In the same sense, the SpeedBlade 4.0 PRO holder places you 4mm higher than previous holders, providing more power and explosion out of every turn! For additional comfort, the Ribcor 42K features a high density, white felt reinforced tongue.

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Skates Ever This was the second pair of CCM/Reebok 42K skates I ordered, because the tendon guard tears off. The first pair lasted maybe 4 months and the second pair lasted 2 months before the tendon guard started tearing off. Below is the reply I got from Reebok CCM Hockey. Hello, Thank you for contacting Consumer Services at Reebok CCM Hockey. We are sorry to hear that one of our products has not lived up to your expectations. Please note that the 42K skates are a lower end model of skate not intended for this amount of use. If your son is playing 5 times a week you will need to consider a much higher end model skate if not the top of the line 50K skates. Thank you Jason Consumer Services Reebok CCM Hockey That is the last piece of Reebok CCM equipment I buy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap & Comfortable, But You Get What You Paid For I've had these skates less than six months. I bought them to skate in a once-a-week men's league. Several weeks ago, the metal rivets on the boot itself began backing out. I had them repaired at Pure Hockey just the other day (Sunday) and that night after my game the entire boot had cracked and detached from the blade and holster. Unfortunately, I received the same response as other reviewers about how the 42K is a cheap, lowline skate and is prone to these issues. Guess I should've done more research prior to my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the way they look After doing a lot of homework i bought this set of skates and to date I haven't had any problems with them. Bought them last year and have only had the blades sharpened once and they probably didn't need to be. I like the way they work and after heat molding them the brakin took no time at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for beginners I bought these gates not knowing anything about what to look for in the sky, but by the end of all my lessons is very comfortable with them and was able to skate around like everyone else.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from They started out well.... My son is a freakishly tall, skinny 9 year, and I bought these skates because his power skating coach noticed that his Easton skates were flexing way too much. The boot fits him well, and his technical skating improved dramatically thanks to the much stiffer boot. Initially, we were very happy with them. Unfortunately, when getting the skate sharpened the second time, our skate tech (who sharpens skates for several top level college and pro players) noticed that one of the blades has badly bent. They've not been used in a game situation yet, so he's not subjected the blades to any sort of game-time abuse or rocket fact, the bend happened in less than 15 hours of use in purely power skating camps. At just 100 pounds, while he's a strong skater, he's just not going to ever put the type of stress on a skate that an adult with more mass ever would......this just shouldn't have happened. Next time around, we're going to look a lot harder at other options. To be fair, they are under warranty and Pure Hockey is doing a solid job getting the problem sorted out before our team tryouts in just 2 days.
