CCM continues to make huge advancements in their Tacks line of sticks year over year, and this year's iteration is no exception! With multiple new technologies implemented throughout the shaft, and a revamped blade the Super Tacks stick brings a lot to the table.

Dual Flex Profile

CCM's first effort was to design a stick that could handle any situation on the ice. The result was a whole new flex profile for the Tack's line, which takes its queues from your hand placement. Higher hand placement will find you in the softer flex zone allowing the entire profile of the Super Tacks stick to load. Conversely, lower hand placement will put you in the stiffer zone, where the reduced real-estate is compensated for with increased resistance to match your fully loaded shot.

Improved Bumper Tech

CCM's bumper tech was a staple in the previous Tacks sticks, and was refreshed for this year's Super Tacks stick model. For those unfamiliar, Bumper Tech is characterized by a reinforced construction for the edges of the stick's shaft, strengthening it against impacts, and making it more difficult for micro-fractures to spread through the rest of the stick. The new reinforced bumper tech utilizes an optimized execution of materials and placement, resulting in a 10 percent increase in durability.

AcuLite Blade

In an effort to provide better balance to their Tacks line of sticks CCM set out to revamp their blades, and in doing so were able to shave off valuable ounces from the Super Tacks stick, without compromising the stiffness of the blade or the pinpoint accuracy it delivers.

2016 CCM Blade Pattern Chart

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great stick .... BUT!!! I looked at the CCM tacks line of sticks and like them a lot. I bought one for each of my 3 kids. My oldest son used his stick in a few practices and 2 games and he noticed something inside the stick that rattled when he turned it over ... turns out, the toe of the stick was already crumbling!!! I didn't expect to be into a warranty claim after 2 weeks with a brand new stick that cost this much....shame as we really liked it. If CCM sends me a new stick and it lasts longer, I'll update this review (if I can/remember).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love This Stick I just bought my second Super Tacks on Black Friday in store, and I’m falling in love again. I’m a faster guy with good hands and I like to stickhandle and pass and shoot in tight as much as possible. I would recommend this stick to anyone with my type of play type, but not guys who take a lot of slapshots because the blade isn’t the most durable CCM has made.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from POOR QUALITY Purchased for 13 yr old son. Used 6 weeks rattle inside began and then blade split and crumbled. He like it for the very short duration of use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fragile My son has the 7052 and loved it for a while but we had the same issue with the broken interior piece and the rattle in only about a month of use. Unfortunately the warranty is only 30 days so we missed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy THIS This is the best hockey stick purchase for my son. The quality for the sale price is incredible. I would like to buy at least 3 more.

Has CCM addressed the toe of their blades just falling apart even with little kids using them or is this the same old junk?

Asked by: Lawdog
The Super Tacks features CCM's AcuLite Blade. This blade is extremely lightweight w/ 2 reinforced bridges that run the length of the blade plus strong outer frame, with a foam core between the frame and bridges.

Do you or is their a place where just the shaft is sold I want a nice stick for street hockey but I don't want to have to spend a lot of money everytime the blade becomes the size of a toothpick. So I want to but the shaft and interchange blades

Asked by: 5859
What we have on the site for shafts is what is available at this time. The production of composite one-piece sticks has driven the industry away from the two-piece sticks and thus we see less and less of them on the market.

Yes, I have had mine for three months and the blade is already completely broken. A very good stick to use, but be careful!

Is this stick lighter then the 2016 Bauer 1X and is it a good stick handling stick?

Asked by: hunter1913
There will not be much of a weight difference at all. This stick is great to stick handle with, but practice is more important than the stick you use!

What is the 40 curve equal to in Easton?

Asked by: Ripcat
While there is not a pattern that is exactly the same, the E36 or E3 in Easton would likely be the closest to CCM's P40.
