CCM Ribcor 44K Pump Skates

The CCM Ribcor 44K Skates feature the same reliable Ribcor performance, now under the CCM name. CCM has been in the process of transferring many of their major products and technologies over to the CCM brand name from Reebok and the Ribcor line is the latest installment! It features some of the old technologies that we all loved about the Reebok's, plus throws in a few new features that CCM will be using this year.

CCM Ribor 44K Features

CCM has taken the previous Ribcor design and had their researchers beef the skate up to include some newer technology. The classic Pump has been upgraded to the CCM Advanced Pump which is the most efficient Pump to date. If you are ever feeling looseness in the ankle of your skate, just a few pumps will leave you locked in for hours! The RIBCOR Flex quarter package features a lightweight, aggressive design to support you and position you in an attacking stance. In the same sense, the SpeedBlade 4.0 holder places you 4mm higher than a traditional holder, providing more power and explosion with every stride! To add another comfortabll feature, CCM adds a high density, white felt tongue. Don't miss your chance to get into what may be the most comfortable line of skates this year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flying Compared to Old Skates Started out with some really cheap skates(Bauer Supreme ONE.4) that I had gotten online, when I wanted to upgrade I made a trip up to a Total Hockey store to try on a bunch of different things. These ended up being the best fit of everything I tried so they're what I went with and wow it's a huge difference. Much better fit of course, but they also feel lighter, definitely offer more protection, and just feel and look much higher quality. The biggest difference, though, is just the feel of skating and turning in these. Everything seems to take much less effort, especially any quick turns or transitions to back skating and I feel like I'm able to take much tighter turns and don't lose so much momentum. Feels like I'm flying out there compared to the old skates and I've had several people tell me it looks that way as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good skates When I first bought them they really pressed around my ankles even after I had them heat molded twice. They couldn't punch a hole in it because it was too close to the pump. And once I had them on the ice is when the problem started so I couldn't return them. They finally starsted to break in after a month of use for a couple times a week. I like them enough now but I still feel I would have been happier with different skates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome skates i had a pair of bauers and was ready to get a new pair. I was gonna get the new vapors until i tried these on. They look great and felt amazing right from the box. Got them baked and had a game the next day and it felt like ive had them for years no pain at all.Pump is an awesome touch as well as the locks for the laces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Skate First pair of skates in a long, long time. These skates are amazing! Highly recommended if you like to push your skates hard. Had them baked, and they feel as if I've owned them for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit, love the pump and lace lock This is the second pair of these I have owned due to not getting properly fitted the first time around (I highly reccomend measuring your foot). I wear a size 12-13 in shoe and I fit a size 10EE nicely in these skates. The lace lock is a great feature, alllowing you to tighten the bottom of the boot independently of the top. The pump feature inflatres a bladder around the ankle makes for a custom fit. They perform well on the ice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Price to performance ratio is great! Great for the price. For me, they are a bit snug around the ankle (I have a larger ankle bone (lateral malleolus)), and was getting some bruising, making skating difficult. I ended up having to get them punched out a few times before they stopped bruising me, but they're prefect now! Total Hockey has been incredibly helpful in making sure these skates fit me perfectly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These skates are a peice of garbage I recently bought these and they are a peice of trash i do not recommend these to anyone. These skates are nothing compared to my old Bauer ones. These skates do not fit well and suck and turning in general. You can bot skate in theseiI would rather skate in the rink skates then these.

Is the sizing just my shoe size or is it different

Asked by: Trevstaaa
Typically sizing for skates are 1.5 sizes below your shoe size. This can differ depending on the shoe and how you like your skates to fit but that is the rule of thumb.

How do the Ribcor 44k compare with the Bauer Supreme S160? I have wide feet and would get the EE widths.

Asked by: Jim24
Both are excellent mid-level skates. The boot on the Ribcor will be slightly wider then the S160.

I'm comparing these against the Tacks 5052. Are these in the same league? The new white edition is a lot slicker looking than the Tacks but if I'm buying skates for the next 5-7 years will these hold up as well or better than the Tacks presumably will?

Asked by: jdecker126
The Tacks 5052 will be a higher quality skate with a much different construction. It is not unrealistic to expect the Tacks 5052 to last longer than the 44K, but much of that depends on the type of use either pair sees.

How do these skates compare in size and quality to the Reebok 12Ks?

My son (high school forward) was wearing reebok 12Ks. He needed a larger size, and bought Bauer Vapors. He cannot wear the Vapors, they are too narrow, But I am having trouble finding Reeboks in his size (8D). I'd love to get him the reebok 28K or 30K skates. Why are the Reeboks so hard to find? Are the CCMs the same skates?
Asked by: mkhafner
CCMs are the Reeboks rebranded... The Reebok brand is going away...
