The CCM Resistance Helmet is about to make a major impact on the industry, with some brand new technology and impressive styling.
CCM's Most Protective Hockey Helmet
CCM's new Resistance helmet has us really impressed. In recent years it has been made clear that Rotational Impacts that cause the brain to spin (much like whiplash) hold the most potential for damage. To combat these impacts CCM developed the all new R.E.D. system, which stands for Rotational Energy Dampening. This technology is built around liquid-filled bladders to reduce the effects of these dangerous Rotational Impacts. On top of the mini bladders the Resistance Helmet also features CCM's new Impact Pods. These pods combine expanded polypropelene foam and a plastic shock absorber to dampen the effects of linear impacts.
Resistance Helmet Adjustment and Fit
Adjusting the CCM Resistance helmet is a breeze as it features a new single-step adjustment system at the back of the helmet. The tool-free system allows a player to make simple adjustments at any time, including while the helmet is already on the head. This new adjustment system has been moved to the back of the Resistance helmet, to allow for improved protection on the sides of the head without a bulky look.
In terms of styling, the Resistance is pretty impressive. With a pro-preferred, sleek and streamlined look there is no doubt that you will be looking fresh in this thing. You don't have to take our word for it, as Tavares and Bergeron have been wearing the Resistance helmet since the Sochi games.
