Sher-Wood has continued their commitment to offer light, reliable, and responsible low-kick hockey sticks. The great thing about the 5030 Heritage Wood Stick is that everyone already knows this stick has what it takes to light the lamp. Many of us have used this stick playing in our youth; now, the 5030 is better than ever.

The legendary wood feel brings most of us back to the great days of old-style hockey, while the shaft is covered with multi-layer birch lamination for a smooth and finished look. The blade is superior white ash with mulit-directional and highly impact-resistant fiberglass to ensure you can accept those hard passes as well as put the puck in the back of the net.

Another great feature is its reliability. Forget paying hundreds of dollars for a high-end stick that could break fairly quickly. The 5030 Heritage Wood Stick offers an affordable alternative that will outlast countless slashes and slap shots.

Old-style hockey meets new-world technology. Pick up your 5030 Heritage Wood Stick at Total Hockey today.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from light, flexy real nice stick thats not gonna break the bank. pp26 stasny blade has a wicked curve that'll lift your pucks for sure. blade is thinner, its started to delaminate and no pvc core to reinforce so make sure to keep it wrapped if you're playing on asphalt or concrete. but overall a good twig

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why would you use any other stick? True, games evolve and, with them, so does equipment. But while it may make sense to buy the most protective helmet you can afford, when it comes to sticks, ask yourself if you are really going to play better with an expensive one. And if the performance difference between this Sherwood cut from the hinterlands of Canada and a more expensive one developed in the laboratory is negligible, then take the opportunity to keep some old time hockey in your game and use this one. Yeah, maybe I'm crazy but there's nothing that makes me feel more connected to the players of yesteryear than this stick. And so, when I lace up my skates and get out on the ice, my fantasy life kicks into full gear with this stick and, since the NHL isn't in my future, the fantasy is as close as I can get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wooden Stick still an amazing Shot The 5030 is still amazing. I use the Ryan II P88, I like the lie, I think it;s a 6 and not a big curve. Feels like a sturdier stick than woods with the great feel of the puck for stickhandking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never going back to a composite! I've played hockey for both inline and ice for roughly 25 years now and this is by far the most fun and durable stick I've ever used. As a disclaimer for starters, I do use composites on ice but this is a fantastic back up. I mostly play inline now and have been using a composite since 2006 but ever since Sherwood released this classic twig I've been wanting to try it out/have it for my hockey cave. It turns out I should've bought two or three of them because this isn't going on a shelf anytime soon. I taped it up in the traditional Bobby Orr fashion and took it to stick and shoot today. ABSOLUTELY blown away with the amount of power and accuracy this stick had to offer. I grew up using the Coffey curve so it was easy to slip right back into the groove and puck feel. The way to shot came off the stick was magical. Back hands, huge clappers, wristers, and slap passing/saucing was perfect. I gave up no speed compared to a composite but rather gained speed with my shots. If you're a defenseman or just someone who loads up huge shots, the heavier the stick the better when it comes to inline. Again, I prefer composite on the ice, but this will probably be the only stick I ever buy again. The durability is there, along with style and graphics. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to spice things up and get back to an old style feel of a stick. Also, the weight is laughable. I couldn't tell the difference between the weight of this one compared to some of my big named composites. Do yourself a favor and go buy this stick, you won't be dissapointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's what I need, for what I want... I only bought the stick, as I am using it to have none other than Bobby Hull autograph it at a card shop on Sunday...It fit's the situation, as when he played, he at first used a wooden stick, I had a wooden stick already, but I bought the wrong curvature...I had a righty shot stick, and I needed a southpaw shot...It fits the need and it is appropriate, as Bobby more or less "invented" the curved stick...(As the team was taking their equipment into the visitor's locker area, a stick had accidentally got wedged under a door, and the blade got bent...He used it in practice, and discovered that when he shot the puck, it was raised off the ice...After that, a curved stick was the "norm"...Bobby Hull changed Hockey, and your stick will represent your business glowingly, with an eye on the history and the changes in the game... And I will have a small piece of history.. thank you very much...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stick The 5030 is an amazing hockey stick. Very responsive and it has an unmatched feel of the puck. I've used a variety of different types of hockey sticks over the past 28 years to include the composite shafts and one piece sticks and the heritage model 5030 is still my favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing look and feel! The 5030 Heritage (aka HOF / Hall of Fame) has an amazing old style look, the only problem I've noticed is that with the stick I ordered, the blade has some minor chips in the overcoat / clearcoat / finish / glue, whatever you call it. I'm hoping that this won't become a problem later on and that the tape will keep it in tact and won't peel off upon removal. Other than that, the stick offers an absolutely powerful shot without breaking the shaft, and don't think it will anytime soon. The (Bobby, Go Sens) Ryan II curve offers a perfect balance for me between stick handling, passing, backhand control, and top shelf slap shots. It's a great all-around curve capable of anything and a balance between all, perfect for a diverse player. It's heavy (as expected, and should be) but the stick feels invincible because of it. I strongly recommend this stick if composites aren't for you, too light, or simply break too much. The feeling of the puck while stick handling, or the vibration of receiving a pass transfers unbelievably amazing through your hands and truly makes you feel in control and one with the puck.
