Pure Hockey Says: The Skate Fenders offers great low-profile protection to the front and sides of your skates. They are cut down, focusing the protection on the tongue and ankle areas making them lighter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every cent Pro: -Quality: the molding is solid. I have been hacked and been hit by numerous pucks, and have felt nothing. -Easy to use: they just strap on the top of your skate. I was worried at first that I would feel them when I skated, but I do not even notice them. -Great Value: protects your feet... you won't feel a thing. Also, protects your skates... they'll last considerably longer. Totally worth the money. Cons: Quality: I have only one complaint about this product. The velcro and plastic rings are garbage. If you are an active skater, you will need to replace them. Velcro and little rings are not a very difficult commodity to find so it's not the end of the world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb! I wanted to wait a few games before writing this review just to make sure they were worth the purchase. The answer is YES. I have taken several shots off of my foot since wearing these and I have not limped or bruised following those days. I was a little worried about them affecting my skating but once they are on I don't even realize they are there. Well, unless you need to tighten your skate during the game but that is rare for myself. If you are on the fence like I was, it is well worth the money to jump off and buy these bad boys!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny I play defense most of the time and have taken plenty of shots off the skates. I figured it might be good insurance to give these a try. Since buying these I've taken a couple hard shots off the skates and I barely felt it. They fit my skates well. While skating I don't even know I'm wearing them. Yes, the bottom velcro strap is a bit long but I just use some shin guard tape to keep the loose extra amount secured to the fender to keep it from flapping around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Protective but straps are bad fit These provide great protection. Took a puck on them first night. However, as posted on other site reviews, the straps are WAY too long. I have to have the straps attached loosely, otherwise I run out of Velcro. And the extra length of strap dangle. Still recommend them though. I'm adult, size 10 skate so fenders almost 'clip' on around my skates so that mostly holds them on which is good with straps being loose / too big.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every cent Playing Defense, I block a lot of shots. I hadn't really thought about getting something like these until I took a slapshot that had me out two weeks. Out of caution I ordered a pair, and honestly can't tell I'm wearing them. Their very light, don't pinch your skates, and I haven't felt a shot since I started wearing them. While they are relatively expensive, they're a lot cheaper than an ER X-Ray or missing games.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the feet The straps need to be addressed. Mine were way too long and I had to trim and re-sew them on (well, my wife did). And they should end on the inside of the skates so they are more easily removable. I have to butterfly my legs to remove the velcro strap - Hasek I am not. Otherwise a great product - saves my feet about once per game. Why aren't they clear though?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not clear but tinted. The first thing i noticed was they have a considerable tint to them and arnt clear or near as clear as they appear in the photos....buuut they work and thats what matter. Worth the 80.00 bucks.
