CCM Super Tacks Sr. Hockey Stick

CCM continues to make huge advancements in their Tacks line of sticks year over year, and this year's iteration is no exception! With multiple new technologies implemented throughout the shaft, and a revamped blade the Super Tacks Stick brings a lot to the table.

Dual Flex Profile

CCM's first effort was to design a stick that could handle any situation on the ice. The result was a whole new flex profile for the Tack's line, which takes it's queues from your hand placement. Higher hand placement will find you in the softer flex zone allowing the entire profile of the stick to load. Conversely, lower hand placement will put you in the stiffer zone, where the reduced real-estate is compensated for with increased resistance to match your fully loaded shot.

Improved Bumper Tech

CCM's bumper tech was a staple in the previous Tacks sticks, and was refreshed for this year's model. For those unfamiliar, Bumper Tech is characterized by a reinforced construction for the edges of the stick's shaft, strengthening it against impacts, and making it more difficult for micro-fractures to spread through the rest of the stick. The new reinforced bumper tech utilizes an optimized execution of materials and placement, resulting in a 10% increase in durability.

AcuLite Blade

In an effort to provide better balance to their Tacks line of sticks CCM set out to revamp their blades, and in doing so were able to shave off valuable ounces, without compromising the stiffness of the blade or the pinpoint accuracy it delivers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from You can do better, CCM I Bought this for my son last month and with less than 10 hours of practice/game time, the heel separated/cracked from the blade. We've always had CCM equipment, and this was the first time we had a stick issue so soon. The Tacks & Ultra Tacks seemed more durable. Love Total Hockey, but CCM, you can do better.

which curve would be best for all around shooting such as slapshots wristshots and snapshots and be best for toe drags. And the curve has to be either p28 p29 p38 and p40

Asked by: Danny97
P28 Slapsots --Toe Drags & Wrist Shots P29 Big Round Curve - Easy Saucer Passing/Snap shooting P38 Toe Drags & Snap/Wrist Shots - Great for puck handling P40 Wrist Shots/Slapshots - Great for puck handling Out of these I would choose the P28 for its design to give shots a higher level of velocity as well as its versatility to take all kinds of shots and make crisp pretty passes on and above the ice. Its curve is that of a true sniper.

I am currently using a Bauer P92 curve. Which one is these would be the most similar to that.

Asked by: Mcdavid97
P28 is the mcdavid curve and is equal to the new Eichel curve or the old Giroux curve, the ovechkin curve/ P92 is equal to the Warrior 03 or Backstrom curve, and is close to the Crosby

How much of a difference is there between the 60 and 65 flexes

Asked by: Rogbert
The difference between the two flexes is not much at all. The 65 will require just a bit more force to flex the stick the same amount as the 60.

Are the Crosby and the McDavid curve similar?

Asked by: JWescoe21
Yes, they are similar. The McDavid is a bit more of a toe curve though.

I am currently using a ccm rbz stick with the p19 Nugent Hopkins curve. I was wondering what curve most resembles that curve on the super tacks

Asked by: Ejb8484
The P19 was replaced by the P29 Crosby, but there are some differences and are not exactly alike.
