The Nexus Sync stick is replacing the Nexus Geo as Bauer’s elite top price point stick. The reduced weight in this stick is a huge upgrade that Bauer was able to accomplish by using their all-new ACL 2.0 technology. This technology uses thinner, more premium carbon fiber layers on the interior of the stick. These layers are more strategically stacked making the stick lighter without sacrificing any durability.
Passed down from the Geo stick is the ER Spine technology. This is a revolutionary 5-sided shape that creates a spine along the back of the shaft to remove excess carbon fiber layers in the key loading zone. This makes it easier to load energy into the stick creating a faster, more controlled release in all situations.
Throughout the stick you’ll find the all-new Connect Tech Technology and Asymmetrical TeXtreme technology. Connect Tech is a layer between the blade that will be extended and will flow through the entire shaft of the stick. The ultra-lightweight carbon fiber layers help reduce weight and enhance puck feel. Additionally, the Monocomp one-piece technology provides consistency and excellent durability because the process helps reduce defects in the shaft wall construction.
In the blade Bauer uses the Omni-Core blade technology that was also found in the Geo. Omni-Core is a carbon fiber bridge fused into a lightweight foam with added response layer technology. The added Connect Tech will dampen any vibrations, which will enhance puck feel.
Lastly, Bauer has made these sticks longer. For the senior 77 and 87 flex sticks, Bauer added two inches in length, so they went from 60 to 62 inches. The 70-flex senior stick will remain at that 60-inch mark, as it has been in the past. Bauer also extended the length on the intermediate sticks. They used to be 57 inches for the 55 and 65 flex and are now extended to be one inch longer at 58 inches.
Don't panic regarding the additional length! The sticks will retain their respective flexes when cutting them back down to 60 inches and 58 inches. For example, those that have grown accustomed to a 60 inch, 77 flex can cut 2 inches off the 62 inch stick to retain the same length and flex as previous years.
Bauer combines some of their most trusted features with new, high-end technologies to offer an elite-level stick built for the pros. The Bauer Nexus Sync is a great option for any player who wants to experience a lightweight model designed to give you an effortless release.
