What is the difference between this blade and the nxg total one blade?

The NXG is just the newest model of the Supreme line. It is the most durable and the lightest that Bauer offers to date.

Are these good for a second year squirt?

The Bauer Total One is the top end in the Supreme line. It is the most durable and the lightest that Bauer offers. The only thing you would need to determine is if your player is a Youth size or a Junior size.
