The Junior 40-Flex model of the Bauer Vapor Prodigy hockey stick is designed for recreational players, with many quality features and technologies to help them develop their skills.
- Mid-kick technology for good versatility
- UD Carbon Fiber technology for a durable construction
- MaxBalance blade for increased consistency
- AERO FOAM I blade for solid shot pop
Bauer’s 2019 Prodigy sticks are constructed specifically for young players based on flex and performance needs. The Junior 40-Flex model is the highest flex of the new Prodigy models, but is still low enough to provide junior players with a stick that will enhance their shooting and passing. Unlike the rest of the Vapor line, this model uses mid-kick point technology. While Vapor sticks are known for their low-kick point to produce quick releases, Bauer has implemented a mid-kick point into the 40-Flex Prodigy stick to provide more versatility when shooting. Mid-kick models are popular with players who take a variety of shots from anywhere in the offensive zone.
One performance feature included in the Prodigy Junior 40-Flex stick is UD Carbon Fiber in both the shaft and blade. This unidirectional carbon fiber, also used in the shaft of the new 2S Team stick, offers a solid balance of durability and playability, giving players a good feel for the puck.
Also included in the blade is MaxBalance technology - a high-end feature used in top Bauer sticks like the Vapor 2X Pro. MaxBalance strategically layers added carbon fiber in the blade for more strength without weighing down the stick, while also reinforcing the edges for increased durability. And true to its name, this technology creates a balanced blade for more consistency when shooting and passing. Inside the blade is Bauer’s AERO FOAM I core, offering solid shot pop and a good puck feel.
