The Bauer Vapor X2.7R inline skates are a great option for a player looking for excellent value while playing a couple of times a week.

  • COMFORTFLEX System for comfort and feel
  • 3D Polycarb for ankle fit and comfort
  • HI-LO Aluminum chassis
  • Labeda Union wheels

When purchasing a new pair of hockey skates, it is important to focus on fit. If you’re unsure which skate line and model fits your foot best, or if you’re looking for an accurate measurement and assessment, visit your local Pure Hockey. The X2.7R offers a low-profile design, ideal for the players with low-volume foot dimensions. This design is enhanced through Bauer’s COMFORTFLEX System, offering an improved overall feel by using some good technologies.

Incorporated in the COMFORTFLEX System, Bauer has designed a one-piece 3D Polycarb quarter package for good ankle fit and allowing for a secure heel lock without sacrificing comfort.

Moving inside the boot, the X2.7R combines memory foam padding with a Microfiber liner. The memory foam is strategically placed in the ankle area to wrap the foot in quality comfort, while the liner provides good support and some added comfort as well throughout the hockey skate. At the bottom of the boot is Bauer’s Form-Fit footbed for good support and the feel you’re looking for. And at the top of the skate, a 40-oz. two-piece tongue with an injected metatarsal guard offers even more comfort, protection, and added flexibility which will help enhance your agility on the ice.

On the bottom of the boot, Bauer uses a TPR Outsole and has a HI-LO Aluminum chassis attached by HI-Lo Abec 7 bearings. This frame gives you a unique skating angle, with two 76-mm wheels in the front and two 80-mm wheels in the back, allowing you to get the benefits of both small and large wheels at the same time. The result is a chassis that offers an excellent balance of speed, power, and control.

As for the wheels, these are built for the player who enjoys a fast wheel with great stopping power. Bauer accomplishes this by using a large injection-molded core for flat out speed, and a soft compression apex ring for maximum grip and unmatched edge to edge feel. These are the same wheels found on the X2.9R skates.

If you are a performance level player in need of a new pair of wheels, look no further than the Vapor X2.7R inline hockey skates.

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skates purchased online during "lockdown" First of all I love the skates. These are my first inline skates so I bought relatively inexpensive ones, $300. I have always worn the top pro model vapor on the ice. So upon the recommendation of Pure Hockey Online representative I bought the same size 8 and 1/2. By the way they got right back to me when I asked the question of which size I should get. If I would have been able to get in a store I would have loved to try size 8. On the ice I do not use socks and I believe there would be room for socks with my inline 8 and a half's, and to be clear I would have only liked to have tried size 8 for the reference. I believe I could have worn a size 8 and been happy too. These skates are fast, they feel solid, very light and comfortable without socks so far, two weeks. I have tried them on cement and on Blacktop and they are fine going over cracks too. For the record I am 68 years old for whatever that means.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Comfortable Inlines I bought these to wear outside (since the rinks are closed) and find them to be very comfortable and light on your feet. Great grip and glide on the wheels and great to play street hockey in. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blades! Fits just like the Bauer ice skate! Great skates! The boot feels just like Bauer ice skates. If you're planning to play on a hard surface, make sure to order hard wheels (85A). The soft wheels they come with are useless on concrete and asphalt. Brake-in was a bit painful. I baked them, but I don't think I got them hot enough. After skating on them for 1-3 hours 5 times, they've broken in nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome Feel's good broke in fast, If you are going to skate on a hard Surface i recommend geting harder wheel's cause the one's on it will get Chewed up fast, Other then that there good for the Price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Bauer rollerblades I am absolutely thrilled with my Bauer Vapor x2.7r hockey rollerblades (size 6.5). I am a female that has been rollerblading for over 40 years. I only rollerblade outside so always have to switch my wheels to accommodate. My ice skates were Bauer hockey skates and they were excellent. My Bauer F3 rollerblades are almost 30 years old (regular maintenance kept them in great condition). It was however time to invest in a pair that I can wear for hours without any soreness. First time out with Vapor x2.7r went about 8 miles; had a smidge of soreness under the ankle but nothing horrible. Went nine miles next trip and didn't have any soreness. So happy it only took two trips to break them in and I didn't have to bake them. Modified a brake for my second trip so I could save my wheels going down hills (asphalt wheels are not cheep). I am thrilled with my Bauers

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great skate! I bought these for my kid who plays elite travel hockey to use during the offseason. They work really well on pavement and tennis courts. He is able to work on his stamina, speed, crossovers, etc., and he has a lot of fun using them! Fit is true to hockey skate size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great skate at the price point I am very impressed with the quality and features of this mid-grade skate. The interior padding is quite nice, and the overall boot construction is far superior to entry level skates. The wheels handle great on sport-court, and the bearings feel pretty good for now. Time will tell on their quality. I baked them, and they molded decently well. I only have about 8 hrs in them so far, and they are breaking in and getting more comfortable. Overall, I think they are a great value.

I recently bought the $160 bauers with the yellow wheels and the chasse bent during the first period of my game and I couldnt skate for the rest of the game.. I see the same chasse on these? What would make it stronger on this skate?

Asked by: zachm
Chassis: Hi-Lo Aluminum on the Bauer X2.7 is higher end , stronger material than the Two-Piece Steel Ventilator on the Bauer RS skates

I want to get these skates or skates like these but I play on concrete and I’m guessing it would tear the wheels up. Is it easy to switch out the wheels and if so what wheels should I get

Asked by: Max V
You will want to look into the LABEDA ASPHALT OUTDOOR WHEELS : https://www.purehockey.com/product/labeda-asphalt-outdoor-wheel/itm/2585-2/ Easy to switch out as well ...

Can I return these if they aren’t the correct size? My bauer ice hockey skate is a half size larger than my shoe size so I’m not sure if the sizing chart will be right for me with these rollerblades.

Asked by: Erica248
yes - we as a company do have a 30 day from point of purchase return policy so no issue to return the skates within that time frame if there is a sizing issue ...

What correlation would the skate sizing for these be to my shoe size?

Asked by: Squirrelznutz
same general skate boot sizing rule as you measure 1.5 sizes down from your shoe/sneaker size for skate boot sizing . Skate boot sizing chart is for reference only as everyone's foot structure is different
