SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid skate Bought these skates from Hockey giant and got a free sharpening and bake so we’ll worth the 1 hr 20 min drive (I’d pay 60 to sharpen and bake down where I’m at). They are a great skate for 200 dollars (went with this pair from good reviews I saw online and I have been a fan of ccm). i with the backside of the skate was a bit more durable, I feel if you’re careless, that part will rip off. Make sure you get sized right. Too many people buy the wrong size and complain.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Manufacturing Problems I purchased this pair of skates twice, the first time I purchased them I noticed a bump (possibly a nail or staple) poking through the heel of the right foot, it was extremely uncomfortable so I returned them. I reordered the skates and the second pair I got has multiple staples poking through onto my toe on my left food. Also very uncomfortable. Overall not impressed, maybe it was my luck but I’m going to try and do some at home fixes cause I don’t have time to return another pair in the middle of hockey season.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Updated My Old Tacks After 8 years I updated my old Super Tacks to the Tacks 4092. There are wider in the foot so my toes don't feel cramped. Vents in the bottom are a nice touch. After two games on these skates I can cut harder due to a better fit around my heal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I made a mistake. I tried on a pair of the last generation Tacks. The were the top line, and they felt like slippers. I asked the employee if the fit would be the same in the cheaper models, and he said yes. This was around the time the 4092's came out, so I ordered those, thinking the fit would be the same. Nope! The 4092's are more snug in the forefoot than the last generation. Everything else was great; zero arch pain and great heel lock. But because of the stupid bone spur on the side of my stupid left forefoot, I couldn't walk in the skates without pain. I jumped back to my Supreme 160s because of the added room in the forefoot. No more bone-spur pain, but the arch pain is back, and the heel lock is less than desirable. The inside of the tongue pulls apart really easily, but doesn't affect the performance. I used CCM medium arch insoles which were great. No problem with durability. Overall, ignoring my personal issues, this is a great skate. It is snug and has zero negative space. It helped with my speed and I felt I could take tighter turns, despite the pain in my foot. If you're in the market for new skates, give these a try, and make sure to walk around in them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent skates for the price I bought these for my peewee son last month, and both he and I can see a big difference in his skating. He wore another brand previously but his feet are too wide to fit comfortably in them now, so he made the switch to CCM and loves his Tacks.

I had CCM ice skates before, and they used to run big. How does this particular model fit? Does it fit according to shoe size?

Asked by: Infamous1
Newer model CCM skates size more like standard ice skates. The recommended sizing is 1.5 sizes down from your US shoe size.
