When choosing a new hockey stick for your upcoming season, it is important to focus on kick point. Finding the right kick point for you will help take your on-ice performance to the next level. The Rekker line represents Sher-Wood’s low-kick point option, developed for players who take quick-motion shots, mostly shoot close to the net, and are looking for an advantage in release speed over power. In the high-end 2019 Rekker sticks, including the M80, Sher-Wood enhances the standard low-kick model with their Dropkick Taper. This design drops the taper further down the hosel than the typical low-kick model, helping to generate more quickness when shooting.
The Rekker M80 features some other top-of-the-line technologies, including the Blackline XXV carbon fiber. This proprietary weave design makes this carbon fiber very responsive, ensuring the stick acts how you want it to during play, whether you’re stickhandling, passing, or shooting. The M80 also includes the new Resinjection System to prolong performance and help keep the stick pop you need to consistently produce quick, powerful shots.
Another new technology included in the Rekker M80 is the VRF.4 blade. This model is new to Sher-Wood sticks, offering a thinner and lighter blade without sacrificing strength. And by incorporating advanced foams within the structure, this blade profile provides solid durability and a great feel for the puck.
Sher-Wood also includes their trusted Spear Shaft technology. This feature, included in some of Sher-Wood’s proven, high-end sticks, makes the shaft run through the heel of the blade. This design provides better puck feel and a more consistent flex profile.
The Rekker M80 hockey stick is built for the player who skates a few times per week or more, but any player can benefit from the high-end features this stick provides.
