New to hockey but not new to sports, STX has worked hard to make an impression on hockey players who are mostly bound by tradition. The pinnacle of their work is represented by the new Surgeon RX Composite Hockey Stick, which is designed to provide incredible performance compared to any stick on the market.

The shaft of the RX is made entirely of 12k carbon, offering incredible durability without creating a lot of weight. The RX is exceptionally light, meaning you get the best of both worlds instead of having to chose lightness or durability. The stick also features spear construction which sees the shaft extend down into the heel of the stick. This provides optimal balance and durability for great performance.

The STX Surgeon RX hockey stick utlizes varying stiffnesses from the bottom of the shaft to the top of the shaft to optimize performance. THe lower portion of the stick features a narrower flex peak to make for responsive play, and the upper portion is stiffer than the bottom to make it easier to load up the low kick-point and launch rockets before the goalie can react.

The blade of the Surgeon RX is constructed using STX's Quad Core technology. This provides a torsionally stiff core with a softer out face that offers great feel and consistency from the stick.

Though they're new to the hockey world, STX is making strides to become a premier stick producer, and the Surgeon RX is definitely in tune with that theme.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable pop! A few of my teammates and myself made a visit to the STX headquarters and picked up some gear. I've been using the warrior qr1 's and didn't think I'd ever want to try another stick. But I picked up the surgeon rx. I gave it a whirl in pregame warm ups and was a seamless transition from my qr1 but with way more pop. I ended up using it for the whole game and scored twice. I wish I had gotten a few more of these sticks as my qr1's wait in back up

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stick is great! Until it comes apart Bought it last summer, but it mostly sat in my apartment due to deployments for about 6 months. I've used it probably a dozen times. The shots have great accuracy and pop, love the feel and "snappiness" to it. However, it's (already) coming apart at the heel, just like my last one did. For a beer leaguer, definitely not worth the price if it only lasts this many uses

Rated 5 out of 5 by from top shelf This stick is awesome. Very light. I bought it in 85 flex, and its not overly whippy. The only thing I didnt like at first was how lively the blade was, but it only took a few skates to get use to it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really nice stick STX made a good splash with this stick, the first time I saw it was Hudler using it when he played for Calgary and I was able to pick up a game used one. I really like it a lot!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surgeon RX The stick has a decent feel to it. I prefer mid-kick, but for having a low kick this stick is pretty good.
