Designed for inline hockey game play, Tour Code 1 Padded Shirt offers elite protection without taking away your movement. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Padded Shirt I got the referenced padded shirt a few weeks ago, and have now worn it twice for indoor roller hockey. I'm 51 yo, 6', 220lbs, strong build, intermediate player, and primarily play D which us why i needed this protection. I agree it is pretty hot when wearing it. Second, they should offer a "tall" version which would allow it to cover almost to top of girdle. I liked the size of the padded areas, solid construction, and during a pretty competitive game yesterday i took a stick butt into my chest, and while tender it did its job and stopped me from being bruised. I like the shirt, great pad distribution, and hope the manufacturer can take this back and make some adjustments or add a tall size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hot! It does what it is supposed to, but it is EXTREMELY hot. Does not ventilate very well. And I am using this for men's league ICE hockey. Cannot imagine wearing this in a roller rink or outside. Have to wash it after every use because it is drenched and disgusting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Two games in...it's pretty comfy and protective! I bought this for old man beer league ice hockey (no check). I'm mid-40s now and not wearing shoulder pads has led to a lot of bumps and bruises from sticks, pucks, helmets, and other impacts that I used to be able to shake off. This shirt provides nice protection for those kinds of impacts and is still really flexible in that it does not restrict your movement- way less bulky than shoulder pads! The only weird thing about the shirt is that it is cut really short- like a belly shirt- I wear a shirt underneath but it still feels a little funny. Overall I like it and will continue wearing it- I got hit by a tipped puck (not super hard) in the chest last game and barely felt it and had no bruise this week!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It would have been 5 stars If they made my size I play both roller and ice hockey and have been playing for over 30 years. I bought this awesome padded shirt to wear in lieu of shoulder pads for inline hockey. I am 5’8” around 235-245 lbs. the largest size made is only XL :(. If they made a 2XL with a longer torso to tuck in and not so tight in the sleeves, this would be a perfect 5 star review. If the company who makes this shirt sees this, make a 2XL and message me immediately so I can get one and update a 2 star review to a 5 star review!! Brian S. MA / RI.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent protection Bought this for the beer league I play in. Don't really need the full shoulder pads, so this is nice in case I catch a Puck to the chest. Cons are that it isn't very long, barely to the pants. Arms were way to small. Had to modify them. Other then that not to bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OLD RELIABLE My son has used this for EVERY game he's played for about 7 years now. From Roller Hockey as a small kid to now being a 15 yr old on a club team. He loves it and it provides him extra protection under his shoulder pads. Hot? Yeah I guess but he's learned to deal with it for the extra protection. The design on the arms is kind of odd, but since he doesn't have big arms the fit hasn't been a problem. And yes you need to wash it after every use and air dry it. I do agree that it is made pretty short and if it were longer it would be even better.... But even though I haven't seen ANY other ice kids wear it under their shoulder pads, we'll keep wearing it for the extra protection it provides. Weird is good sometimes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe I bought this item to wear in my men's hockey leagues. Works perfect for a non checking men's league.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from One Tragic Flaw Everything about this shirt should make it ideal for recreational use, likely as a replacement for shoulder pads. Except for 1 thing. The sleeves are ridiculously tight around the arms. I found a flexible tape and figured out that if your arms are 15" or larger around the biggest part of your bicep... the arm fit will be bad. It is so strange that the shoulder fit is great, and then it just funnels down ridiculously to the arm exits.

I play a recreational senior hockey league and wonder if these would be a good alternative than bulky shoulder pads?

Asked by: Still Playing
These are meant to be worn underneath your shoulder pads and they are specifically designed for inline hockey. That being said, you could wear them for ice hockey but they may not be providing you a decent protection that you may need during play

How would you size this item? Are there chest measurements that you can provide that can assist in sizing - I don't want to buy something that is too small or large? Thanks.

Asked by: EricD
CHEST SIZE: 36"-38" = Small, 38"-40" = Medium, 40"-42" = Large

Can this be worn as extra protection underneath my shoulder pads? My first inclination is that this might be too clunky and *not* be possible. thank you...

Asked by: ribhelp
I would say this would be too bulky to wear underneath regular shoulder pads. This is designed for inline hockey.
