The Warrior Alpha DX hockey stick is built for high-performance, with many technologies and features the elite-level player is looking for from a top-of-the-line model.

  • Low-kick point design for a quick release
  • Sabre Taper for enhanced accuracy
  • True 1 Phantom for a lightweight feel
  • Minimus Carbon 1400 for increased durability
  • Fuelcore technology for added pop
  • Ergo shaft shape for enhanced control
  • Apex Grip Texture for a locked-in feel

When purchasing a new hockey stick, it is important to place a focus on kick point. Finding the right kick point - where the stick flexes most when shooting - will help take your shot to the next level. If you’re unsure which kick point is best for your game, visit your local Pure Hockey for an accurate assessment. The Warrior Alpha line offers a low kick point for a quick release, enhanced by some of Warrior’s top technologies.

One of these features is the Sabre Taper. As Warrior’s exclusive taper design, this technology combines the response of a low-kick construction with increased stability, providing players with a stick that is easy to load, accurate, and produces shots that are both fast and powerful. Because this is a true low-kick stick, this feature is ideal for quick snapshots, but with the Sabre Taper design, you can get off great shots from anywhere in the offensive zone.

For the construction, the Alpha DX includes True 1 Phantom Feel. Warrior’s lightest and strongest one-piece design to date, this construction creates a balanced, lightweight stick which enhances puck control and response while stickhandling, passing, and shooting. Also included in this stick construction is Warrior’s Minimus Carbon 1400 material. This high-strength, lightweight flat weave carbon design produces a light and durable shaft. This material is dynamic and elastic, providing an excellent overall feel.

In the blade, Warrior includes their Fuelcore technology. This lightweight polymer blade includes composite layering around the core for better responsiveness, puck feel, and to help give you more pop with every shot. This innovation also reduces the breakdown of materials within the blade to help increase durability.

The Alpha DX stick also includes an Ergo shaft shape for a contoured design that fits comfortably and securely in your hands, and Warrior’s Apex Grip Texture which provides a tacky soft grip finish that locks easily into your hands for maximum control.

The Alpha DX is built for the elite players who skate 4-5+ times per week and need a high-performing stick to give them the edge their looking for. But this hockey stick is a great option for all players, regardless of level, if they want a stick with top features and a low-kick design.

2019 Warrior Blade Pattern Chart

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome twig! Fantastic stick! Super light stick with exceptional balance and feel. Great for quick wristers and big powerful slapshots. Truly a great all around stick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unquestionably The Best This stick is without a question of a doubt the best stick I've used of late and I've used a lot. I played Junior and University and now play in the UK, Lso am familiar with most sticks. Coming from a CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D and Jetspeed FT1, the Warrior Alpha DX blows them out of the water. Puck feel is incredible and very responsive, somewhat similar to the Trigger. The feeling is soft and responsive but comes off much much hotter with shots, so also similar to what you'd expect with a stiff blade, truly just what I want in a blade for puck feel and stick handling. Truly a great blade Warrior has, it's drastically better than the Jetspeed, which for me was a major flaw with the Jetspeed. As far as power goes, there's noticeably more. Far more. And equally a quick response, I don't notice a difference to the Trigger and again, much faster than the Jetspeed. Acccuracy is also pinpoint, it's better than both CCM's, hitting my targets far more frequently. I've only had 1 pre-season game with this and managed a hatrick (deflection, outright bar down wrister, and a slapshot bottom corner) and an assist. Needless to say, the stick works and works very well, but I can't speak to it's durability yet. In all, I'm so overly impressed with this stick, it's surpassed every expectation I've had. Saying all this, I was a big fan of the Trigger but I'll never go back as long as Warrior keeps making the Alpha line. It's that much better, you seriously will not regret getting this weapon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall I like the stick Unbelievable shot release I've never ripped such a hard snap shot, only complaint is the stick handling I find it hard to feel the puck on the blade hopefully I'll get use to it it's only been a month.

I was considering whether to purchase the Fantom QRE or the Alpha DX stick. However I am currently neck to neck between deciding one to go with. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Pranav
It will all come down to your personal preference but there are some telltale differences when looking at the Covert and Alpha family. The Alpha DX stick is going to be a more all-around stick that balances a quick release and power. They do this by having a slightly higher kickpoint. The Covert is going to have a lower kickpoint so this tends to work for the player that takes their shots closer to the net. The Fantom will be lighter but both sticks are crazy light so I wouldn't let that be the deciding factor. Thanks!

Do Warrior Alphas play a little on the stiffer side?

Asked by: Derekgh78
The Alpha has a low kick point, so it may feel more stiff higher up on the shaft. When shooting from the kick point, it will not feel stiff.

Is the new w71 like the old w71 in warrior curves

Asked by: Tommycbomd
I've seen the W71 over the years and this is the same curve. It's still the big, open mid curve that you've come to love. Thanks!

What is the length on the Alpha DX 4. I'm looking for a 65 flex for my son. It is advertised as 60" but we received it and it looks like it's about 66"?

Asked by: Eric Olsen
The length of the senior 65 flex DX4 was 60". That is measured from the top of the stick to the bottom of the heel, not the toe. If you are getting 66" when you measure the stick like the image shows below please let us know.
