The Warrior Covert QRE3 ice hockey stick is a performance option at a middle price point, a great value stick for both the adult and youth player. The Covert QRE3 hockey stick features plenty of performance attributes that can help hockey players of all ages gain an edge on the competition.
- Pro Cortex Grip for optimum hand control
- Minimus Carbon 800 for lightweight response
- True 1 Phantom construction for a truer one-piece, balanced feel
- Edge Taper for magnified power and flex energy
- Full carbon weave blade for improved balance and lighter, playable durability
The QRE3 provides a traditional feel in the hands thanks to the stick’s rounded corners and straight sidewalls. Warrior's Pro Cortex Grip gives the stick a tacky grip finish that locks the player's hands in place for optimum hand control. The stick also includes a raised texture down through the middle portion of the stick for a better feel.
The Minimus Carbon 800 is a construction material upgrade over the QRE4. This lightweight, flat-weave design improves the performance of the stick’s technologies. The QRE3 is both lighter and more responsive because it uses less fiberglass and more quality carbon fiber.
The construction method is updated this year with the True 1 Phantom process—found on all Covert QRE models—similar to what Warrior tried in the Alpha line. It is a low co-molded construction that provides skaters a consistent shaft wall thickness, resulting in a truer one-piece feel. The QRE3 is now more efficient and effective for transferring energy, and provides an overall better balanced feel in the hands.
The QRE3 has the signature Covert low kick point that’s been sped up and made more stable this year with the new Edge Taper allowing for a quicker release on wrist and snap shots. The new, angular edge taper drives flex energy through the hosel for magnified power. The new QRE3 geometry provides a lot more torsional stability which results in better accuracy, increased strength, and an even quicker release. The blade face will stay square to the target and won’t twist or open up.
The QRE3 looks sharp, with a gloss finish up top that transfers to a matte finish with eye-catching graphics at the bottom of the stick.
Also at the bottom of the stick, the blade features a full carbon-weave wrap, helping to remove weight in the bottom portion of the QRE3. This promises a better balance point so the stick feels both lighter in the hands and a little more playable. The carbon fiber also provides the player a stable feel and excellent durability.
The 2018 QRE3 offers an attractive array of performance-level features at a price that will let just about everyone into the game.
