Q. Who is eligible to join the Breakaway Rewards program?
A. The Breakaway Rewards program is available to all US residents ages 13 and older.
Q. Do I only need one Breakaway Rewards membership for all stores?
A. Yes. One Breakaway Rewards membership is all you need to earn points and use rewards to shop online or any any Pure Hockey / Total Hockey, Total Lacrosse or Total Goalie location. You earn points and may redeem rewards seamlessly across all three retail brands.
Q. Can I upgrade my membership?
A Yes. All silver and gold memberships may upgrade to a higher level. You may purchase an upgrade at nearly any time by
adding the upgrade to your cart, stopping by a store location or calling our customer support team at 866.787.3462 to learn more.
Q. Does the membership expire?
A. Once purchasing the Breakaway Rewards membership, it lasts a lifetime. There are no expiration dates or renewal fees associated to your membership.
Q. Can I return my Breakaway Rewards Membership?
A. No, all Breakaway Rewards Memberships are final and non-refundable. All members may return any purchased merchandise and will be refunded minus the cost of the membership and applicable rewards.
Q. When can I start earning points?
A. You will start accumulating points once you have made a purchase on any of the three Breakaway Rewards membership cards.
Q. How do I keep track of my points?
A. Click on the My Account section. Log-in to your account with a valid username and password. You can view your purchase history within one hour of your most recent purchase for online or in store purchases, rate your shopping experience, see outstanding points, manage available Gift Rewards or even display your account barcode to our cashiers on most smartphones.
Q. Do my points expire?
A. Points will not expire unless you cancel your Breakaway Rewards membership.
Q. What can I purchase with Gift Rewards?
A. Breakaway Gift Rewards can be applied to nearly any product, but does exclude some services (such as gift cards). See Breakaway Rewards Program Rules for more details.
Q. Where can I redeem my Gift Rewards?
A. Breakaway Gift Rewards are valid at any of our retail locations or online at Pure Hockey / Total Hockey, Total Lacrosse or Total Goalie.
Q. Can I apply more than one Gift Reward to a single purchase?
A. Yes. In store, simply present your multiple Breakaway Gift Rewards to a friendly cashier. You have the ability to use multiple Gift Rewards online as well, upon checkout, all of your available gift rewards will automatically be applied to your order. If you choose to save your gift rewards, you are able to remove them from your order to use for a future purchase.
Q. Can I save up my points for a larger reward?
A. Every time you earn 300 points, we will automatically apply a $10 Gift Reward to your account to be used online or at our retail locations. You are able to apply multiple rewards to any single purchase, however please know that all rewards expire 365 days from their issue date.
Q. How long does it take before I receive my Gift Reward?
A. Once you have accumulated 300 points or more, you will be notified of your Gift Reward via email within 15 days of your purchase. You can check the status of your Gift Rewards by logging into the My Account section.
Q. Do my Gift Rewards expire?
A. Yes, all Gift Rewards expire 365 days after being issued.
Q. What if I lose my email with my Gift Rewards?
A. No problem! If you go to My Account, log-in using the correct username and password. Select Get Rewards and you will be able to print all available Gift Rewards you have earned.
Breakaway Rewards Membership ("Membership") is open to U.S. residents of the 48 contiguous states of at least 13 years of age. By joining the program, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age or older and by using this program, you agree to the terms and conditions of the program. Your Membership is nontransferable and is subject to present and future program rules. Limit of one membership per household. Enrollment begins upon activation on the day of enrollment at any Pure Hockey / Total Hockey store or when you purchase the Breakaway Rewards Membership at any online store location including purehockey.com, totallacrosse.com, totalgoalie.com or redtaghockey.com (herein known as "Pure Hockey / Total Hockey online store".)
Employees of Pure Hockey / Total Hockey ("Pure Hockey / Total Hockey"), its affiliates and subsidiaries, and others who are eligible for employee-based discounts, or members of any corporate, team or group account of Pure Hockey / Total Hockey are not eligible for Membership in the Breakaway program unless otherwise expressed in writing.
As a member of the Breakaway program you earn 1 point ("Point") for nearly every $1 you spend on almost any purchase (see Non-Qualifying Items" below) when you show your Breakaway Member Card ("Member Card") at the time of purchase in store or online. Points will post to your account approximately 15 days after purchase. Earn additional Points through special offers and promotions. Point calculations are based upon dollars spent at checkout on eligible purchases less any amount spent on Non-Qualifying Items (see Non-Qualifying Items below). When products are returned in store or online, Points will be deducted from your Breakaway account for that purchase/return. Points apply only to the first Breakaway Member Card scanned in connection with any purchase. Breakaway Member Cards, Points and Gift Rewards have no cash value. Breakaway Member Cards and Points are nontransferable. Lost or stolen Member Cards will not be replaced. You can still earn points for purchases by providing your Breakaway Member ID at the time of purchase. All Gift Rewards issued in the Breakaway Program will be electronic. They will be sent to the e-mail address of the account of the Breakaway Member. Pure Hockey / Total Hockey is not responsible for communications, including Gift Rewards, lost due to change of e-mail address or other contact information. Other restrictions or exclusions may apply.
Point of First Purchase Discount
Breakaway Gold and Platinum members earn a one-time ten percent (10%) discount off any qualifying item upon enrollment in the Breakaway program at the point of first purchase. Breakaway Silver members are not eligible for the point of purchase discount offer. After enrollment, Breakaway members will earn other program discounts through exclusive member-only offers. Breakaway Silver members may upgrade to Gold or Platinum membership levels. Breakaway Gold members may upgrade to Platinum membership levels. The price of all membership upgrades is the difference in the base membership price. For example, members choosing to upgrade from Silver $9.99 to Gold $19.99 would cost $10 or Silver $9.99 to Platinum $39.99 would cost $30. Members choosing to upgrade their membership will also receive the difference in the program's benefits and rewards. For example, an upgrade from Silver to Gold will earn a ten percent (10%) discount and 600 bonus points. Application of Breakaway first purchase discounts is limited to the first $2,000 of that initial purchase.
Get Breakaway Gift Rewards
For every 300 points you earn in the Breakaway program, you will be eligible to receive Gift Rewards redeemable for at least a $10 discount off your future purchase of any eligible products at any Pure Hockey / Total Hockey retail store location or any Pure Hockey / Total Hockey online store. 300 points are automatically deducted from your account for every $10 in Rewards issued to you. Rewards are discounts off future in-store or online purchases and may only be redeemed for a discount off purchase amounts equal to or greater than the amount of the sum of the Rewards presented for redemption excluding tax. Rewards may not be used in conjunction with other discounts or offers toward the purchase of products. Unless noted otherwise on the Reward, each Reward will expire if not redeemed within 365 days from the date it is issued. Rewards have no cash value and no change will be given for Rewards redemption. Rewards may only be used once. You may be notified of additional ineligible products and services. Lost, stolen or expired Gift Rewards will not be replaced. Other restrictions or exclusions may apply.
Breakaway Points will not be earned for the following purchases: Gift Cards, Breakaway Gift Rewards (you will not earn Points for the value of the Breakaway Gift Reward), services (including skate sharpening services, skate cards or any other related service), sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges, other excluded charges, and certain items that are excluded in particular promotions. Other exclusions may apply.
Breakaway Gift Rewards may not be redeemed for discounts on the following items: services (i.e. skate sharpenings), prior purchases, as payment on any accounts payable or for tax or state fees. Other exclusions may apply.
One of the many great features of joining Breakaway Rewards is free return shipping. As a Breakaway Rewards Member, if you order the wrong color, the size isn't quite right or you simply no longer want the item - simply send it back - shipping is on us. Please be sure that the item(s) are unused, inside its original packaging and within the 90 days grace period from the original purchase date.
To return the item(s), simply log into My Account and click on the "Need to return an item" link under the Recent Orders section. If you have a purchase within the eligible return grace period, you will be prompted to receive a pre-paid UPS label sent to your account email address. Print the return label, affix to the outside of the return box and drop the box off at a UPS location near you. Please note, that we waive the shipping fee on only one return and, if applicable, one exchange per order. As always, we are happy to help. Breakaway Memberships do not expire or terminate within the lifetime of its members. However, you may cancel your Membership at any time by notifying Breakaway Member Services by mail. Cancellation may take from 6 to 8 weeks to finalize. Breakaway Rewards Memberships may not be returned for credit.
Pure Hockey / Total Hockey may, at any time, terminate or modify the Breakaway Rewards program and program rules without any further obligations to members.
If your Membership is canceled, Breakaway Gift Rewards will be issued for accrued points that remain in the account. Any points that remain in your account that is insufficient to qualify you for a $10 Gift Reward will be forfeited. Partial Rewards will not be issued.
Pure Hockey / Total Hockey reserves the right to terminate your membership, in its sole discretion.
