Think of a junior hockey girdle as the inside protective part of a pair of hockey pants. These compression-fit pants allow your child to wear a different color "shell" on the outside, particularly helpful if they play for multiple hockey teams. If your child plays on three teams, for example, s/he can wear the same hockey girdle and simply switch out the shells.
Pure Hockey offers girdles from the most respected hockey equipment manufacturers in the industry, including Bauer, CCM, and Warrior. What's more, we back our items with our Low-Price Guarantee, which means you can shop knowing you're getting the most competitive prices available.
A junior hockey girdle is a great alternative to hockey pants, but it's a tad different, in that the fit makes the protection in a girdle feel a bit more robust, giving young players more confidence to practice and play hard—traditional hockey pants tend to fit a little more loosely. But in truth they both offer the same protection; whether your junior player chooses hockey pants or a hockey girdle really boils down to personal preference.
If you're still not sure whether a hockey girdle or hockey pants are the best choice for your junior player, consult our informative ‘What's the Difference?' page to learn more.
