Overview: The Bauer Vapor X4 hockey stick is designed to replace the previous Vapor 3X stick. The most noticeable change from the Vapor 3X is the lighter weight of the Vapor X4: coming in at 425g, the X4 is 5g than the 3X.
New Upgrades: EnergyCore 2
Kick Point: Low … Built for players who take quick-motion shots, mostly shoot close to the net, and prefer release speed over power.
Taper: XE Taper … A taper design that uses a unique elliptical geometry with a thinner construction and more rounded edges. These features help the taper to thrive and improve the rocket release by 10%, which means you’re getting pucks to the top corner 10% faster than the original HyperLite.
Shaft Technology: HP Mold, UD Carbon Construction … Bauer uses unidirectional carbon fiber and high-performance mold, which provides more strength and a balanced energy transfer through the entire stick, from shaft to blade. This shaft construction gives you a true one-piece feel, enhancing the overall performance of the stick.
Shaft Shape: Round … A streamlined shape with rounded corners and concave sidewalls.
Blade: EnergyCore 2, 15K Carbon Construction … Integrated with dual fiberglass bridges and a stiff lightweight foam, creating that extra pop that will give you more confidence on those quick shots. Bauer reduced the weight and improved the strength of the stick by applying 15K carbon fiber in the blade.
Weight: 425g
Pure Hockey Recommendation: The Bauer Vapor X4 stick is a lightweight, high-performing option for this price point. We encourage players who skate a few times per week to consider a higher-end model such as the HyperLite 2 or the Vapor X5 Pro if they want to experience the best features Bauer has to offer. But the Vapor X4 stick is a great option for players who skate a few times per month and want some higher-end features at a budget-friendly price.
