Top Warrior Hockey Helmets
Hockey helmets provide a vital function—protecting a player’s head from the various kinds of impacts that can happen during a hockey game—and safety should always be high on your list of concerns when you’re choosing a new bucket. But modern advances in technology and design mean you don’t need to sacrifice comfort, fit, and style to play safe. A properly fitted and comfortable helmet may actually help you play better, as well. When the game is on the line, you need to be thinking about doing the job on the ice, not about how uncomfortable or hot your head is. Having the right equipment allows you to focus on what’s important, like ripping top cheese to win the game. And if you do get your photo taken while celebrating the victory, you want to look your best.
The new hockey helmets from Warrior check the boxes for all the features you’re looking for in a protective head covering. From the great styling of the outer shell to the high-tech, multi-layered foam inside, these helmets are built for performance.
Warrior Covert PX+ Hockey Helmet Combo ($199.99)
The new Covert PX+ from Warrior represents the company’s first pro-level hockey helmet—combining great looks, exceptional fit and comfort, and best-in-class protection. Of course, the main job of any helmet is to protect the player’s head, and premium multi-layer foam beneath the shell of the Covert PX+ provides excellent impact absorption and cushioning. The main line of defense is the thin, black EPP foam liner beneath the shell. This lightweight foam is designed to manage multiple impacts, distributing the force away from the player’s head. After an extremely hard hit, the foam will crack (on purpose), which lets the player know that it’s time to buy a new bucket. Between the EPP liner and the player’s head is thicker, softer vinyl nitrate (VN) foam padding, which manages low-impact hits and makes the PX+ extremely comfortable and snug-fitting. The VN foam compresses upon impact and then returns to shape.
The two-piece outer shell is constructed from high-density PE, which makes it both lightweight and strong, providing pro-level protection from impacts. Clips on both sides, above the ears, allow for simple, tool-less adjustment, so you can ensure a firm, comfortable fit before you hit the ice. For comfort, strategically placed vents maximize airflow through the helmet, so you won’t overheat when you’re working hard. Finally, the streamlined “pro look” design definitely passes the mirror test, especially when paired with the Krown 2.0 black cage.
If you’re in the market for lightweight, premium protection in a stylish package, you’ll definitely want to check out the PX+ Hockey Helmet Combo from Warrior.

Warrior Krown PX3 Hockey Helmet Combo ($179.99)
The Krown PX3 offers many of the same features as the PX+, but in a helmet with a more traditional look and feel. The multi-layer protection combines a low-profile EPP foam liner, for those big hits or heavy falls, with an inner layer of VN foam for the constant low-impact hits that are just part of the game, plus medium-density foam placed strategically around the inside of the helmet for maximum comfort. The VN foam also works well with the 4-Play shell adjustment system, in which a dial at the base of the helmet allows you to fine-tune the three-piece shell to achieve the perfect, even fit. The Warrior Krown PX3 Hockey Helmet Combo also includes the Krown 2.0 cage, which is designed for maximum visibility and includes a dual-density chin cup for comfort.

Warrior Covert PX2 Hockey Helmet Combo ($119.99)
The newly redesigned Covert PX2 combines the sleek design high-performance of the PX+ with a more traditional feel—all at a great price. The main source of comfort and protection is multi-layered VN foam, which absorbs a variety of impacts and then returns to shape after compression. The first layer, just beneath the shell, does most of the work of protecting the player’s head, and then the foam is layered in strategic places in other parts of the helmet. There are two layers of foam along the sides and front of the PX2, and a third layer is added to the back to protect against impacts with the ice. Aside from providing great protection, the VN foam also just feels good—it’s soft and comfortable, even when you’ve been wearing it all day.
The outer shell is the same high-density PE as the PX+, and the two pieces adjust easily, via clips above the ears. This allows the player to snug that interior VN foam into the most comfortable alignment possible. Strategically placed vents allow air to flow through the helmet to keep the head cool during the most strenuous exertion. And like the PX+, the PX2 simply looks great; the addition of the Krown 2.0 cage completes the package.
