The Bauer RSX inline skate is a recreational option built for the player who is new to the game or skating infrequently, and is looking for solid features in a comfortable and flexible model.

  • Injected comp weave quarter package for a flexible fit
  • Molded comfort EVA footbed for premium comfort
  • Microfiber liner for a comfortable feel
  • Anaform ankle padding for increased protection
  • HI-LO Ventilator Steel chassis for overall control
  • HI-LO Court wheels for improved striding - Back wheels (80mm), Front wheels (76mm)

One of the top features found in the RSX is the injected comp weave quarter package. This technology offers moderate stiffness with enough flexibility for the player who skates once a month or less. With this flexibility, you can work on your stride while also being comfortable in your skate.

Another solid technology offered in the RSX is the molded comfort EVA footbed. This feature, complemented by the Bauer’s microfiber liner, helps to maximize comfort inside the boot, an important feature for those players who skate infrequently but want to get the most out of their skates when they do. Anaform padding is also included in the RSX, offering an increased level of protection around the ankles. This material provides an extra layer of comfort, working well with the microfiber liner.

On the bottom of the skate, Bauer uses the HI-LO Ventilator Steel chassis. This provides a unique skating angle, with bigger wheels in the back and smaller wheels in the front. With this popular frame design, you get the best performance benefits of both sized wheels. The RSX features HI-LO Court wheels to complement the benefits of the chassis, providing a solid balance of speed and control with every stride.

Even if you skate infrequently, you still deserve a skate that is comfortable and provides performance benefits for when you do lace them up. The Bauer RSX proves to fit the mold, offering good features for this price point.

*Note - Depending on your weight and how often you play, you may need a more durable boot. These rollerblades are for low impact skating

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 8 year old loves them Bought these for my 8 year old’s birthday. He loves them. They are good quality and am happy with them so far. It’s only been a couple weeks as that’s when all retailers hammer you for reviews but they’ve been good and appear to be of decent build. Had to swap out the pitiful laces they came with but that’s with any skate purchase. You’d think these skate companies would throw in some durable laces with the purchase. These weren’t crazy expensive I think they were $192 tax in but skates can be insane. Bauer and ccm loosen up and throw some better laces in or a second pair for when the stock ones cut your hands up! Overall I’m happy with the blades and look forward to the kid using them for a year or two.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not suitable for me but fine for my son Quality of the skates look good and they feel light (a good thing for me). However, I got blisters on both side of my legs from the skates. Apparently, the opening of the skates, the back part is much narrower than other skates I have. It's more of a V-shape than a U-shape, and I believe it's why I had issue with it. I was unable to use the skates as after the 2nd game, my blisters got really bad. However, my son tried the skates on and likes it. He is fine with the skates and keeping it (he has used them a couple of games). Probably it's the way I skate causing the blisters. Glad my son likes it and can use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blade, great insight from Derek T I am 6'1 and almost 190 pounds and decided to go with the Bauer RSX skates for cruising around campus and playing street hockey. It was great value in comparison to buying any used blades, or even assembling your own pair from some old skates, which can get expensive and probably won't be a long-term solution. I grew up playing hockey and wore a composite boot (APX2 and 1x), so I was skeptical about how the boot would hold up. So far, so great! I've been rollerblading daily, and have found them to be comfortable (without molding them) and most importantly durable on any surface. The wheels are definitely intended to be used on a nice in-line surface, but will hold up on typical pavement/sidewalks as well. I wouldn't recommend beginners to use them on wet surfaces, but if you have experience you'll be fine. I'd recommend reversing the wheels once you notice a good amount of wear and tear to make them last longer (level out the tear), but a better solution would be to buy outdoor wheels if cost isn't of any concern. I've personally worn the Bauer RS and the RSX, and the biggest difference is the tongue and boot stiffness. You are spending a little more, but it is definitely a little nicer (makes sense). The Bauer RS wheels are better for outdoors (as described), so this would be a great option for someone who is looking to skate on regular roads. Overall, has been my best purchase during the pandemic. Derek from the Madison location provided the best customer experience possible during these unprecedented times, and was a great resource to figure out which blade is best for any scenario. Overall, I would highly recommended the Bauer RSX skate to anyone looking to shred this summer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of fun Glad I purchased these. Now that I can't skate at my local rink because of the pandemic; it's the closest feeling to ice hockey I can get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking and well made! I bought these for my 13 year old Grandson for his Birthday and he loves them! He is always on the go and is outside on these all day, plus he said they were comfortable. I would highly recommend these for the active child in your life!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Look great built cheaply I bought these skates to replace my bauer vapors that were due to be replaced. These skates came in and less than 2 months of playing 1-2 a week everything started falling apart from the boot to the chassis and the eyelets. When they came in they didn't look as durable as the Vapors but I gave them a shot. Good thing is I got a complete refund so back to my Vapors.

I have been looking everywhere for size 14W.  No one seems to have them.  Do you have that size or do you do custom orders?

Asked by: DarrenT
The largest size these skates come in is a size 12 and that normally fits someone who wears a 13.5 shoe. If you wear a 15.5 shoe and need a size 14 skate, you may have a hard time finding them. We haven't seen any offered at the retail level. Custom skates are only offered on the top end models so the price to get those would be a bit expensive. Thanks!

What’s the bearing size for these skates?

Asked by: mg28
These skates, like all the other skates we sell, come with the standard 608 size bearing. Thanks!

These are on a Hi-Lo chassis, but the wheels are all the same size. I'm assuming you can set them up with 80's in the back and 76 in the front, but can you confirm that?

Asked by: Biggie85
These skates have a Hi-Lo chassis and will require 80 mm wheels in the back and 76 mm wheels in the front.

I'm looking to get a pair of multi-surface/outdoor wheels for these inline skates. What wheels do you recommend and do I need to by replacement bearings as well or can I use the ones that the skates came with?

Asked by: ioleary
The exact wheel you land on may come down to your brand preference. I've always liked Labeda but there are other great options too. For an indoor/outdoor wheel you may want something around the 78a hardness rating. Anything harder would be an outdoor wheel and anything softer would be an indoor wheel. These come with indoor wheels already so you may find an outdoor set would add some nice contrast and keep you skating. Thanks!

If I am a size 7.5 in women what size should I get in skates ?

Asked by: Caarrllaa
A 7.5 womans shoe will typically convert to being a 5 skate but not all shoes run the same so that conversion can be a little different. We'd suggest visiting one of our stores to be 100% sure on your skate size. Thanks!

i wear a size 8-8.5 in women’s what size should i get?

Asked by: alo22
It is recommended to go down 3 sizes from women's shoe sizes for skates. I would suggest a size 5-5.5 for inline skate size.

I wear a women's size 7-7.5 shoe. What size would be best to get? Thanks!

Asked by: ceggy
The general rule of thumb for skate sizes is 1.5 sizes smaller than the players US Men’s shoe size so you would need a Junior size 4 or 4.5 in skates.

Are these able to heat mold to get a better fit more quickly?

Asked by: ginos
You can heat mold these but it's not needed. It's also not recommended to bake the skates at your house so please think about that and do your research before you do anything. Baking skates at home would void the warranty. Thanks!
