Another advantage of the Supreme S190 girdle/shell combo is the fact all of the pads sit much closer to the body. It gives players a more responsive feel while also making sure protection stays in place at all times. The tailbone guard now features Poron XRD smart foam, which is some of the most protective materials Bauer has to offer.

The rest of the Supreme S190 girdle utilizes medium-density foams and molded plastic inserts that contour to a player's body. The shell quickly and securely attaches to the core by three Velcro, nylon straps.
