The Vapor 2X Pro is Bauer’s low-profile skate, ideal for players with low-volume foot dimensions. Bauer takes this fit to the next level by implementing their DYNAFLEX System into the 2X Pro model, constructed to provide ultimate performance.
The first technology included in the DYNAFLEX System is the all new asymmetrical toe cap. This design helps to reduce the overall volume of the skate, ideal for players who need that low-profile fit to play their best. The toe cap also helps to improve your push-off with each stride. Also included in this system is the Integrated Injected Facing which wraps and supports the foot better, providing more control over the skate. And an asymmetrical taper offers increased medial support for improved agility and quickness.
Other new features in the Vapor 2X Pro include Bauer’s Aero Foam Pro padding and their Recoil Pro tongue. The memory foam wraps the ankle for a personalized fit while also providing high-end comfort and protection; and the dual-injected tongue offers excellent flexibility, allowing you to get low in your skate stride. Also included inside the boot is the Lock-Fit Pro liner, designed to provide moisture-wicking comfort and to keep your foot secured in place for improved striding.
Below the 2X Pro boot, Bauer uses the innovative Tuuk Lightspeed EDGE holder which includes a trigger system allowing you to easily replace a damaged or broken blade. To use this spring-loaded mechanism, simply pull the trigger to unlock the blade, them remove it with your hand (using a towel as a buffer), pliers, or the Bauer-provided tool. Insert your new blade until it clicks into place, and you’ll be back on the ice in no time. This holder system also ensures your runner will remain secured in place, allowing energy to efficiently transfer from boot to blade for improved striding.
Attached to the Lightspeed EDGE holder is the Tuuk LS5 runner.
