  • Pro TPU outsole for optimal quickness and agility
  • AeroFoam+ interior padding for comfort and support
  • Asymmetrical toe cap for a better overall fit

When purchasing a new pair of hockey skates, it is important to focus on fit. If you’re unsure which skate line or model fits your foot best, or if you want an accurate measurement and assessment, visit your local Pure Hockey.

Over the last couple of years Bauer has been focused on separating the performance attributes of the Vapor and Supreme skates from an on-ice performance and feel perspective. The new technologies, new materials and different flex points are what will differentiate these skates.

Vapor focuses on quickness with the lower part of the skate being softer for increased response and the upper part of the skate being stiffer allowing for increased lateral support. The flex point of the Vapor skate is in the lower portion to maximize agility and speed.

The Bauer Vapor 3X Pro has a 3D lasted Curv Composite Quarter package which provides elite level support while keeping the skate very lightweight. The outsole is made of Pro TPU which allows the skate to maintain its lower flex point for optimal quickness and agility.

Passed down from the Vapor 2X Pro line is the asymmetrical toe cap. This toe cap design reduces the volume of the skate for an enhanced low-profile fit, while also allowing you to improve your push-off with each stride.

Elevating the 3X Pro is the integrated injected facing which provides lateral stability and improves the lock of the foot to the skate and allows proper forward flex. For interior comfort, the 3X Pro uses AeroFoam+ padding with a Hydrolite liner which provides good support, a soft feel, and moisture-management properties to help wick sweat away and keep your foot secured in the boot.

In the Vapor 3X Pro, Bauer partners the Lightspeed EDGE holder with the LS Pulse steel. This high-grade runner provides a long edge life a premium glide.

The Bauer Vapor 3X Pro skate is an excellent option for players who want a top-end fit with elite features, giving them a high-performing skate at a great value.

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 8 or greater.

Intermediate Hockey Skates
Intermediate hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 10 to 13 years old with a US shoe size of 5 to 7.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 10 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 4.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits right Only skated on them once so far. I’ve worn graf and CCM my entire life till now. Never worn brand new skates that fit correctly from the first wear. Heels lock in, no toe pressure, arches feel perfect, I am impressed so far. Will update after a few months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skates Fit like a glove and service was stellar Pure hockey salesperson had great knowledge of different skate options to fit my Playing frequency and skill level. The electronic foot measuring machine was amazing and identified that I should be wearing a smaller but wider boot than usual. The skates fit well in the shop and I opted for the extra insole plate. After they were baked, they felt already broken in. It took two skate sessions before I felt fully comfortable and got used to the new blades. Bottom line- couldn’t be more satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit, right out of the gate. I tried on every skate model known to man, settled on the 3x pro. What a great decision. Great fit, minimal break in time. Took a few skates to get used to the blades and forward skate stature. Clear upgrade of old Supremes. Strongly recommend. A bit pricey, but it is what it is. They're very well built, should last a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great skates My son initially wanted to go with the hyperlite but did not like the fit on the tongue. These felt better, are less expensive but are still fantastic skates. He loves them, broke them in fairly easily. Pure Hockey did a great job fitting him as they always do. Solid overall skate for a AA/AAA player.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from CCM to Bauer Came from CCM. Felt like I was learning to skate again. Had to take them back. They're probably awesome for previous Vapor skaters.

Are these skates better than the vapor 2x pros from last year? Are there different tech in each one?

Asked by: Liham13
These skates are similar to the 2X Pro from the past generation of Vapor skates but these are more in line with the 2X rather than the Pro. The Pro is going to be a half step up from this skate. Both are awesome options but the Pro would have a little more to offer in terms of technology and performance. Thanks!

Why isn't there a video breakdown of these skates? And whats the difference between the 3X pro vs the 2X pro?

Asked by: Billy D
Both 3X Pro from this year and 2X Pro from 2019 have the injected lacing system and the boot material is Curv carbon composite. The 3X Pro has a traditional pro felt tongue where as the 2X Pro has technology that helps with forward flex and returning that energy into your stride. From a performance standpoint, the 2X Pro is similar to the Hyperlite but not as high end as there is new technology that you find on the Hyperlite. The 3X Pro takes a few pieces that worked well with the 2X Pro but this skate would line up more with the 2X model. Thanks!

Are these good for someone that is just learning to skate

Asked by: Hockeynutz
These would 100% work but might be more than you need right out of the gate. These would last you for quite some time but you may need to purchase other pieces of gear if you are just starting out so saving some money could get you into those pieces of gear easier.
