The Bauer Vapor X2.7R inline skates are a great option for a player looking for excellent value while playing a couple of times a week.
When purchasing a new pair of hockey skates, it is important to focus on fit. If you’re unsure which skate line and model fits your foot best, or if you’re looking for an accurate measurement and assessment, visit your local Pure Hockey. The X2.7R offers a low-profile design, ideal for the players with low-volume foot dimensions. This design is enhanced through Bauer’s COMFORTFLEX System, offering an improved overall feel by using some good technologies.
Incorporated in the COMFORTFLEX System, Bauer has designed a one-piece 3D Polycarb quarter package for good ankle fit and allowing for a secure heel lock without sacrificing comfort.
Moving inside the boot, the X2.7R combines memory foam padding with a Microfiber liner. The memory foam is strategically placed in the ankle area to wrap the foot in quality comfort, while the liner provides good support and some added comfort as well throughout the hockey skate. At the bottom of the boot is Bauer’s Form-Fit footbed for good support and the feel you’re looking for. And at the top of the skate, a 40-oz. two-piece tongue with an injected metatarsal guard offers even more comfort, protection, and added flexibility which will help enhance your agility on the ice.
On the bottom of the boot, Bauer uses a TPR Outsole and has a HI-LO Aluminum chassis attached by HI-Lo Abec 7 bearings. This frame gives you a unique skating angle, with two 76-mm wheels in the front and two 80-mm wheels in the back, allowing you to get the benefits of both small and large wheels at the same time. The result is a chassis that offers an excellent balance of speed, power, and control.
As for the wheels, these are built for the player who enjoys a fast wheel with great stopping power. Bauer accomplishes this by using a large injection-molded core for flat out speed, and a soft compression apex ring for maximum grip and unmatched edge to edge feel. These are the same wheels found on the X2.9R skates.
If you are a performance level player in need of a new pair of wheels, look no further than the Vapor X2.7R inline hockey skates.
