This low-profile shoulder cap with full coverage is a great feature found on this price point. This helps keep you mobile while providing optimal protection. Speaking of protection, Bauer uses a segmented spine with HD foam in the spine, molded PE in the bicep, and lightweight full coverage foam in the sternum. 

For adjustability you will find a removeable belly pad, and a bicep pad that can move up and down for proper coverage between your shoulder pads and elbow pads. A key feature, and what makes these crafted for women, are the torso straps. These can be adjusted to make the pads tighter or to give you more room based on your fit preference. 

On the inside of the X-W shoulder pads, Bauer uses their Thermomax liner. This technology is comfortable against your torso and has moisture-wicking properties to help keep the pads light during play and to dry out the shoulder pads quickly in between skating sessions.
