90 Day Satisfaction Guarantee on CCM Jetspeed FT1 Ice Hockey Skates.

The CCM Jetspeed FT1 ice hockey skate is the premier Jetspeed model. With its one-piece construction, the FT1 offers elite hockey players class-leading comfort and performance at a slightly more affordable price relative to other premier skate offerings.

  • SpeedBlade 4.0 holder with SpeedRib technology for rigid, enhanced stride power
  • Polished stainless steel Hyper Glide runners for reduced drag and increased speed
  • RocketFrame Composite quarter package with L1TE Frame 360° technology for maximum stride-energy transfer and control
  • Asymmetrical Contour Pro ankle pads for comfortable, contoured fit
  • Tri-Tech tongue with injected center foams for lace-bite protection and thermoformable fit
  • Total-Dri Pro liner for dry comfort and durability
  • CCM Custom Support footbed for arch-specific contact and enhanced speed

The Jetspeed FT1 comes with the SpeedBlade 4.0 holder with SpeedRib technology. Its unique construction harnesses the power of triangles for stiffness and rigidity, for enhanced stride power. Hyper Glide stainless steel runners with a polished finish reduce drag, for increased speed and excellent bite. And the 4.0 holder is 4mm taller in both posts, so players can take advantage of the most aggressive turning radius available.

The FT1 boot is CCM’s RocketFrame Composite model with L1TE Frame 360° technology. The skate has no outsole—it’s a true one-piece design for 360° contact between the foot and the skate, promising maximum stride-energy transfer and control. The one-piece, outsole-less construction means stride power is transferred directly through the blade holder and to the ice. This design also boasts the most anatomical fit of any Jetspeed skate. Asymmetrical ankle pads fit perfectly for incredible power and feel. The composite material is very lightweight, making the FT1 one of the lightest skates on the market.

The tongue has an upgraded lace-bite guard for better protection over the top of the foot. The thick, Tri-Tech design comes with injected foams through the center for a custom fit after baking.

The FT1 liner includes smooth Contour Pro ankle pads, which help reduce ankle abrasions common in high-end boots with stiff shells. The heavy-duty liner material helps reduce fabric wear for players who position their shin guards beneath the skate tongue. The Total-Dri Pro liner has a soft feel and does a great job wicking any unvented moisture from the foot for dry comfort.

The FT1 footbed is the CCM Custom Support model powered by Currex. These arch-specific insoles ensure complete contact between midsole and the bottom of the foot for enhanced reaction time, speed, and comfort; determine which type of arch your foot has before selecting the proper footbed.

The FT1, like all Jetspeed skates, is a medium-volume skate that shades toward the slightly tighter, narrower side. The boot has a tighter heel cup and slightly narrower forefoot, but a standard instep dimension. If you have an in-between-sized foot, the Jetspeed will likely provide you a great fit.

The top-end FT1 skate costs slightly less than other premium skates on the market. Its lower price point, combined with the one-piece design and elite-level comfort features, makes the Jetspeed FT1 one of the best values around.

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great skate Outstanding fit similar to the vapor series. Heel is a tad bit wider, so we had them baked, skated on them for a couple of weeks, then baked them again to get a perfect fit. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lighter than my shoes! Extremely comfortable, easy to break in, like skating on a cloud. Just hope they hold up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First skate review....very good. Excellent skate- low profile (boot and runner) make it very comfortable. Very little negative space, so the FT1s are more fitted than the roomier Bauer Vapors. I wanted to get a new pair of skates after Easton stopped making the Makos, and I was very disappointed in my recent purchase of Bauer X900s, which felt like a ski boot. Plus the long blades and high boot/runner on the X900s felt really, really awkward. I am a 7EE in the Easton Makos and a 6.5EE in X900 Vapors. I bought a 7D in the FT1s since the D was sufficiently wide. Overall, I thought the Easton Makos were by far the best skates I've ever had, but this is a similar feel but without the pressure point around the tendon guard. Plus the FT! seems much more durable and slightly stiffer, so a bit more energy transfer. Like the Makos, these skates are incredibly comfortable out of the box. No break in period at all. I can't compare these to the Bauer TotalOne line, but I was very, very impressed after my first skate. CCM nailed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Skates I’ve been using these skates for almost two months. They’ve held up very well, with very little signs of wear. Although these skates are stiff, they’re very comfortable

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great skate, snug heel Super light weight, fast, great design but very narrow in the heel. Other than a snug heel, not much to complain about. The boot tends to get nicked up easily but all just superficial. No loss of integrity to the skate itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these skates Didn’t have to go through any break in period, felt great from the very first skate just had to get used to transitioning and turning with the new blades

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super Light! A very different skate than my past s On arrival, I started to put these skates on and found the pain was so much I thought they were too small. Once I got the skate on, I could see how the boot design surrounds your foot for a better fit. I have only worn the skates once, but so far, the break in is less painful then the many skates I have broken in over the past 45 years.

I own these w/step steel, but seem to get a lot more speed, quickness with my 2013 Vapor x100's w/ Speed plates & LS5 steel. I'm considering 2 options, sell these and get x900's or keep them and replace the holders with Tuuk Edge and LS5 steel. Thoughts?

Asked by: Jay95
You have to go with your gut feeling on this. You mention that you're faster and quicker in your X100 skates so I think sticking with what you know works is the best move. These are great skates but every player likes something a little different. Thanks!

What size runner fits in the youth 13.5 FT1? I was told 208mm when I called CCM, but that size runner does not seem to be available anywere?? Does the 215mm fit? I would like to buy the black blades for my son for an extra set.

Asked by: BradQ
Unfortunately the Youth CCM skates do not use a holder that allows you to replace the blades.

Is this skate more like the crazy light or is the super tack?

Asked by: VinnyC
I would say this skate is more similar to the Crazy Light's. The Tacks are CCM's wider skate. The Crazy Light's were more moderate in width, similar to the Jetspeed's.

Does the FT1 or the Super Tacks have a stiffer boot?

They will both be similar in terms of stiffness.

Wondering about the fit of the heel as compared to the Bauer Supreme line, does the FT1 being a tapered fit mean the heel will be a little looser?

Asked by: erikkarlsson
The heel of the Supreme will be more anatomical meaning the shape of the heel and ankle will be shaped and formed like a heel and ankle. The FT1 may fit more similar to the Vapor line with the Super Tacks being more similar to the Supreme, that's my opinion.
