The CCM Jetspeed FT380 ice hockey skate offers some elite-level features at a performance-level price point. The skate’s interior and overall boot construction are significantly upgraded for class-leading performance.

  • SpeedBlade 4.0 edge holder with geometric design for rigid performance
  • Taller posts for an aggressive turn radius
  • Vented, reinforced, injected outsole for enhanced energy transfer
  • RocketFrame Composite with SpeedCore II for elite-level stiffness
  • Smooth Contour Pro wraps to alleviate high-ankle abrasions
  • Premium Total-Dri liner for superior abrasion protection and dry comfort
  • Anatomical Response footbed for broad, contoured comfort

The FT380 comes with the SpeedBlade 4.0 edge holder. This model is 4mm taller than in years past, allowing for a still more aggressive turn radius. CCM uses its geometric SpeedRib design in the SpeedBlade 4.0 holder, which exploits the power of triangles for a stiffer, more stable performance. This means players experience less torquing and more power transferred through each stride. The SpeedBlade holder includes SpeedBlade stainless steel runners for excellent bite and durability.

The FT370 outsole is a reinforced, injected, and vented model. This outsole is stiffer than outsoles at lower price points, for better energy transfer. The vent allows moisture to escape the boot, so it stays drier during the game and dries quickly afterwards.

The quarter package on the Jetspeed 380 is CCM’s RocketFrame Composite model—the same as in last year’s top-of-the-line Jetspeed. This year, the boot features the SpeedCore II for elite-level stiffness—a very nice feature for a performance-level skate. CCM cores bake well and will give any shaped foot a customized fit and feel. The boot also features Smooth Contour Pro ankle wraps to alleviate high-ankle abrasions.

The FT380 tongue is upgraded over the 370 tongue with thicker foam. The tongue includes additional thick foams down the center for a pro-styled feel. The embossed guard helps alleviate lace bite and protects the top of the foot from pucks and slashes.

The FT380 interior has been upgraded with CCM’s premier Total-Dri liner to wick away unvented moisture, and offers superior abrasion protection. The liner’s DuraZone abrasion patches at the top of the boot help extend the liner’s life by reducing the wear that typically results from shin guards positioned beneath the tongue. Smooth Contour collar pads also help reduce high-ankle abrasions, and multi-density memory foam ankle pads comfortably lock the skater’s foot into the boot for better control. The FT380 features CCM’s Anatomical Response footbed with a thin layer of foam but an ample contact area between the foot and the skate.

The fit profile of the FT380 is medium volume, like all Jetspeed skates. It has a slightly narrow forefoot and heel thanks to CCM’s well-known heel lock and a more tapered toe. While the instep is a standard medium volume, the overall fit is a little more snug, just right for players with in-between-sized feet.

The CCM FT380 skate  includes a variety of elite-level features, but still manages to retain a mid-range price point, making attributes normally reserved for premium skates available to a broad swath of performance-level skaters.

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Reebok replacement! I’ve had the 2015 Pro Reebok pump skate for a few years and needed a replacement due to wear. I was hesitant to leave the pump behind and was concerned about the fit of the next skate without it. The FT380s are exceeding my expectations. My foot locks into the boot at the heel and I am not concerned about the tight fit at the ankle anymore. i tried these on at the Pure St. Louis store. The sizing is a bit different, going from the Reebok 7.5 to the FT380 8.0. So far this is my favorite pair of skates! (Went through all 3 Bauer lines with nothing but pain).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speed & Precision I coach multiple hockey teams during the winter season and play a weekly pick-up game so I wanted a high performing skate that I can demonstrate drills with speed and precision, but being an older guy comfort is a concern as well. These might be my most favorite skates I’ve ever owned over the past 35 years. I’m nostalgic about certain skates I’ve owned in the past, but I don’t remember ever being as excited to go play in new skates as I am with these. I’m faster and can turn tighter. It’s a similar feeling to getting a new driver and instantly getting another 20 – 30 yards out of it. My kids were starting to close the gap in beating me in a race, but this upgrade set them back a few years. HA! It did take about two hours of ice to get game ready broken-in. I have a wider foot so I went with a EE and have no pain issues. I usually have to get my skates punched in one particular spot, but I don’t think I need to with these. If you have wide feet and have not tried these because of something you read on-line about these being better for people with narrow feet I would give them another look. I tried skates that are supposedly for wide feet people and they did not fit as good as these. The taller blade holder is a really nice feature. Its noticeable, but in a good way.

Are they heat moldable?

Asked by: Greg0622
You would want to get these heat molded. This will help with the overall break in period as well as the shape of the boot being formed to your foot. Thank you!

I have size 6 CCM Tack Original 652 skates that are 10 years old. Will the sizing be the same if I buy the FT380's in the same size?

Asked by: Gilles
The fit of CCM skates have changed so much since the original Tacks. Personally I think you would need to come into one of our stores, or any store, and try a few pairs on. The Jetspeed skate will fit pretty low volume and on the narrow side.

Are they as good as the ft1 what are the differences

Asked by: Gavin91
No the FT1 is far more superior. The FT380 is a mid level skate that sports a similar look to the FT1 but has nowhere near the make up of the boot at all
