The JetSpeed FT690 skate is a Pure Hockey limited edition skate and includes some features of the FT6 and FT680. A noticeable difference is the sleek blackout color scheme, instead of the JetSpeed red you usually see throughout the line. 

This skate features a one-piece boot, built with a lightweight RFM composite material. The FT690 is engineered for performance and acceleration, giving players a more direct energy transfer and a closer fit for faster strides.

The metatomic tritech tongue with ADPT memory foam and molded lace bite protection is passed down from the FT6 skate, giving you superior fit and ultimate comfort. Speaking of comfort, the multi-density foam ankle pads wrap anatomically around your foot while the HD microfiber liner with polygiene helps the skater’s foot resist abrasions while also wicking away unvented moisture. The footbed of the FT690 is made from CCM’s Ortholite technology for a molded fit. 

Upgraded from the FT680 is the Flex Tendon guard that includes a Super Skin insert. This will improve the skater’s range of motion, allowing greater extension on skating strides for increased speed, while the Super Skin insert enhances protection. 

Rounding out this skate is the Speedblade XS Holder with the STEP steel runner. The STEP Steel runner is an upgrade from the XS stainless steel on the FT680 and will provide a long-lasting edge for long term performance.
