The CCM Super Tacks 9380 hockey skates offer many of the technologies used in the top of the line model that elite level players will enjoy, while not paying at the top of the market.
Staying consistent with the prior generation, the Super Tacks line remains CCM’s medium fit design. Finding the right skate for you means finding the model that fits your foot best. If you’re unsure, or you’re looking for the most accurate measurement you can get, visit your local Pure Hockey. The Super Tacks 9380 is a medium-volume fit for players with the standard forefoot, instep, and heel-depth dimensions.
The 9380 is crafted out of RFM composite, an NHL caliber lightweight material. This is the same material used on the AS3 model, but with a two-piece build. The boot is designed with MetaFrame technology. This economic boot-shaping allows for a superior fit for your foot. A lightweight, stiff thermo-formable core generates excellent skating performance even though the 9380’s are less stiff than the AS3 model.
CCM carried down its pro-level Total-Dri liner from the top of the line AS3 Pro. The dual-zone textures not only provide comfort but also help lock in the foot for a stable, secure fit. The Total-Dri liner wicks away unvented moisture, and the heel pockets feature padding for additional comfort and security. DuraZone abrasion patches help prolong the liner's life for players who position their shin guards beneath the skate’s tongue.
Speaking of the tongue, CCM equipped the 9830 with a duel density asymmetrical build with added lace bite protection. This 10mm felt (7mm on Junior) offers reinforcement layers for better protection and added comfort.
On the bottom of the skate, you will find the top-of-the-line SpeedBlade XS holder. The SpeedBlade Xchange System makes swapping out your blades easy. This system works by using a positive-lock mechanism to tightly secure the blade to the holder. Once it’s time to replace the blade, all you have to do is roll the BladeLock dial until you feel resistance, pop the blade out, place your new blade in the holder, and turn back the dial. CCM partners their new holder with the SpeedBlade XS Stainless runner (Senior Only). This blade offers excellent durability for a long-lasting edge which results in long term performance. (CCM XS Runners for Junior)
Designed with features that are commonplace on the top of the line model AS3 Pro, the Super Tacks 9830 is nearly half the price and is still a very high performing skate. If you are an elite-level player looking for a less expensive skate or a performance player looking to jump up a model, the Super Tacks 9830 is a great option.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.
YOUTH Hockey Skates Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.
*Female Skaters* To find your hockey skate size, it's best to choose skates that are 2.5 to 3 sizes smaller than your women's shoe size. For example, if you wear a women's size 8 shoe, you'd need a size 5 or 5.5 skate.
