90 Day Satisfaction Guarantee on CCM Super Tacks AS1 Ice Hockey Skates.

When you pick up a pair of CCM’s Super Tacks AS1 ice hockey skates, you’re holding some of the most innovative and technologically advanced skates on the planet. The true one-piece design and additional pro-level features make the AS1 a near-peerless performer, worth every penny of its price, which is still less than other top-end skates on the market.

  • SpeedBlade 4.0 holder for geometric stability
  • SpeedBlade Black runners for edge durability and corrosion resistance
  • MonoFrame 360 one-piece construction with SpeedCore III technology for lightweight, anatomical energy transfers
  • TriTech Flex tongue for enhanced flexibility and excellent protection
  • DuraZone abrasion pads for shin guard abrasion protection
  • Smooth Contour collars for high-ankle protection
  • Total-Dri Pro liner for durability and dry comfort
  • OrthoMove Custom Support footbed for vented, personalizable comfort

CCM uses the SpeedBlade Black runner in its Super Tacks AS1, with a black oxide coating to extend edge life and reduce corrosion. The SpeedBlade 4.0 holder with SpeedRib technology holds the blade. The 4.0 holder’s unique geometrical design harnesses the power of triangles for enhanced stiffness and maximum stride-energy transfer. The skate bottom features a vent that helps release moisture from the boot for dry comfort during the game.

Boot construction is CCM’s MonoFrame 360, a premium, full-carbon composite one-piece with SpeedCore III inner core technology. The 360° fit and outsole-less design provide maximum foot-to-skate surface contact with an anatomical shape. Unlike a two-piece, the AS1 wraps beneath the boot for a more direct feel on and for the ice. Energy transfer improves because energy is no longer being absorbed by a glued and nailed outsole, but instead is now transferred more directly through the boot and to the ice for ultimate performance.

CCM’s recent focus on durability includes updated vamping, brass eyelets, and double stitching throughout the boot. The quarter package height has been raised for a more natural feel in the foot. The tendon guard has been upgraded with a fully injected piece for full stride extensions. The one-piece design, though, provides excellent durability.

The AS1 tongue is made softer with the TriTech Flex model that comes in 7mm white felt with thick, injected foams for pro-level quality. This year’s tongue is more flexible for enhanced forward flex and more powerful extensions. The embossed lace-bite guard helps protect against nagging lace bite and top-of-foot impacts.

DuraZone abrasion pads help extend the liner’s life for players who wear their shin guards beneath the skate’s tongue. The Total-Dri Pro liner helps the skater’s foot resist abrasions while also wicking away unvented moisture. The liner has a tacky feel, helping to lock in the feet even in high-moisture conditions. The ankle boasts thick, medium-density foams for excellent comfort, and the boot includes updated Smooth Contour collar pads to help alleviate high-ankle abrasions common in stiff boots.

CCM has upgraded the insole in the AS1 with its OrthoMove Custom Support. Each pair of skates comes with medium and high inserts for near-custom arch support possibilities. Venting in the Custom Support also helps release moisture into the boot bottom, where it is ultimately exhausted through the vent. The footbed comes with PowerGold (Power Platform) technology that enhances energy transfer with a plastic bridge.

The Tacks AS1 is 20 grams lighter than last year’s model because CCM has removed non-essential branding and other visual aesthetics for an overall sleeker, trimmer look. The Super Tacks AS1, like all Tacks skates, has a medium-volume fit for players with standard forefoot, instep, and heel-depth dimensions.
The CCM Super Tacks AS1 represents the vanguard of skate-making technology. Its lightweight, one-piece thermoformable design and its many protection and comfort features make this class-leading pro-level skate one of the best values on the market.

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from W O W ! ! ! I had the 3D mold done, 8 day turn around for pick up at the store, had them baked and sharpened, skated in them 3 days later, unbelievable!! Best fitting skate I have ever worn (25 + years of playing). No lace bites, no blisters, no soreness. Performance was great too. I've never felt like a skate made me faster until now. Very happy with my purchase. Don't buy these without getting the custom mold, it's worth the extra money. CCM did a fantastic job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING SKATE! Back in game after being forced out by injuries. 15 years off and two new hips later... here I am again. I've played my whole works. Started with Langes (75), then Super Tacks (78), Bauer Supreme 1000 (86), Supreme 5000 (90's), and now...AS1's. These skates are ridiculous! I smile every time I put them on. No special fitting for me...just baked and punched out on the maleolar where my left ankle was broken. They feel like part of my body. The support is unlike anything else I have skated in, despite being rock solid, I have unlimited flexibility. They dry in no time, weigh nothing, and I've been skating 4x week since May...still holding edges. There is nothing I'd change even if I could. I agree with one previous reviewer...first skates I've ever had that make me a better skater! Thanks CCM!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AS1 Quality Bought these skates for a great price. High end skate for almost half the cost. Only draw back to these skates is that the steel is sub par compared to step steel. I have purchased new step black steel and will have it profiled and use it after these are broken in. Comfort for my high arches with insert. speed plate that is customizeable was already included and saved me about 50 bucks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You need these! I have been a Bauer guy my whole life. After 15 years off, I started playing again in my city league with a few buddies. I decided to splurge on these in hopes that they would make up for my advanced age, my obvious lack of fitness, and time away from the game. They did. After a few games getting used to the feel and the responsiveness, I was able to keep up with minimal to medium effort about 75% of the time. The biggest difference between these and a traditional boot, I would say, is the weight. These are LIGHT. They respond immediately, they are way more stable on tight, low turns at high speeds. But at the end of the day, you are literally paying a premium for less ish on the skate, and it is a worthwhile investment. Especially if you are an old, ex-player with moobs and a beer gut trying to get back out there and cause trouble. You need these, bro. Don't you even think about trotting your old Supremes out there like some boomer with dad-bod. Yeah, its a city league...but you still can't show up looking like you just stepped out of a black and white photo. These kids today, they only understand one thing...bright, shiny objects "are better not shiny ones". They will spot you, they will exploit you, your team will start skipping you on the bench...telling you "you got the next one". Yeah right. They said that three line changes ago. Don't be that guy. You are better than that. Buy these skates and show these little pukes you still got it where it your cup. Also, make sure you swing by throw a couple ice packs in your cart before you check out. You old, mushy has-been. Gross.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great skates Bought these for my son. A lot of money, but they are lighter than my sneakers. He loves them and the skates are making a noticeable difference with his skating. He says they feel amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’ll only wear a 1 piece boot from now on... I’ve alway worn bauer skates, but figured with a 90 day money back warranty I’d give CCM a try. Well the one piece boot isn’t marketing hype...much stiffer and more responsive, it almost feels like they’re spring loaded. Justin at pure hockey really took his time helping me find the perfect skate and it fits like a glove.

What are the big differences between this skate and the Bauer Supreme S2? I have Bauer Supreme One.9's now.

Asked by: HockeyFinder68
The Bauer Supreme and CCM Tacks fit similar to one another. Both are medium volume skates that fit in a more anatomical style. If you like the Bauer Supreme we believe you would like the CCM Tacks too. Unfortunately, the only way to know what you like better would be to try on both. Thanks!

When I custom order these will my toe rub up against the edge of the boot at all?

Asked by: hankgillette
An ideal fit of skates is the snuggest fit possible while remaining comfortable. Custom skates can be ordered to your personal preference so work with your fitter to make sure your concerns are addressed. Thanks!

I just purchased these. Had them molded. How long until they "loosen up" a little. This is my first pair of pro level skates.

Asked by: Bmacreferee
Break in time differs from player to player. It could take 10 hours of skating before they start feeling like "your skates". The more time you can spend in them the better! Don't be scared to put them on while sitting around at home. The more time they are on your feet the better. Thanks!

Does anyone know yet if these skates will feature a super flexible tendon guard such as the Easton makos?

Asked by: Jax95
This skate will not have as flexible tendon guard as the older Easton Mako skates . Stiffer and more supportive one piece boot...
