SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men's US shoe size of 7 or greater.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
Junior hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 8 to 12 years old with a US shoe size of 2 to 6.5.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
Youth hockey skates are sized to fit toddlers and young children in the age range of approximately 9 years old and younger with a US youth shoe size of 1.5 or smaller.

*Female Skaters*
The difference between men's shoes and women's shoes is 1.5 to 2 sizes. So, if you wear size 9 women's shoes, that translates to a men's size 7.5 or 7.0, which would put you in a size 6 senior hockey skate. More simply put, go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size in order to find your hockey skate size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value but not the traditional Tacks boot For the price the fit and feel of these skates is unreal, especially how it locks the ankle down, but if you are looking for that traditional Tacks wide fit go for the EE width with these. CCM changed the boot this year to a more narrow one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Skates for the Price Bought the CCM Tacks 5092 a few weeks back replacing a pair of CCM Ultra Tacks that were 20 years old but in good shape. Took them to be baked once, but the boot has already started to separate from the blade holder. Also, had to have the inner ankle area popped out as the skates were causing blisters. After a few uses they are starting to feel better, but not great as they are causing foot cramps and pain. Hoping they will break in following more time on the ice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal Skate Bought these a few weeks ago at a local shop. The skates are head an shoulders above my previous (Bauer Supreme One40's, fairly old and lower end I know) the fit is decently similar, but these things are so light yet still feel like tanks on my feet. I Coach and play Pick-Up and these are perfect. Baking them in was just icing on the cake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent features, great price, all around worth I have had mine for almost a year now, and I cannot express my gratitude and appreciation to CCM for all of the R&D. the SB 4.0 really lets you get farther out over your edges, giving you a bigger performance edge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CCM 5092 Very Good Option for Upgrade 4+ * Have had these Since May of 17 just short of an Year CCM 5092 Very Good Option as Upgrade from Easton's Rating **** from Earlier Easton Unibody Skates Very good option as Upgrade from Earlier style Skates, good fit, quality & Performance CCM 5092's Have had these for 11 months, skate 2x's per week; These were an upgrade from Easton SBX Air & S7 Unibody Skates, not too much of an increase in stiffness and provide a nice fit and skating performance. After a few sessions Broke in fine/ had them pre heated and fitted. Senior Rec League player, my shoe size is US men's 9/ Eur 42 Reg width , purchased 7.5 D size, had them fitted and had an easy break in. Improved Fit, skating style and performance. Nice level of Quality and materials, notice a difference in the runners ,the steel holds a nice edge, I find them to perform well and compete with the Higher level CCM & Bauer models with reasonable pricing esp seeing that i am a rec league player and not on a younger competitive team but i find in Tourneys thay perform very well. As compared to others i skate with. I would recommend you consider these skates. PURE Hockey staff continue with their quality customer service, advice and time given you ; considering you are purchasing on line. Appreciate their efforts and will contionue to be a customer . What's the difference between Tacks 5082 and Tacks 6082??

Asked by: Ellsworth 32526
The 6092 will have a full composite boot construction, whereas the 5092 will just be reinforced in certain areas with composite. The 6092 will also have a TotalDri moisture wicking liner vs. the microfiber liner of the 5092. Lastly, the outsole of the 5092 is constructed with only injected TPU, and the 6092 uses composite as well as injected TPU.
