All of the Ultra Tacks protective gear will feature some brand new technology from CCM this year. D3O Smart Foam has been built into key areas of the Ultra Tacks gear to reinforce the padding against all impacts, heavy and light. This material is called smart foam because it has some unique characteristics. When impacted in a slow, softer manner, the foam maintains a soft feel that will cushion a blow. When impacted quickly with a lot of force, the D3O foam tenses up, creating a firm but protective layer that will soften any impact and recoil.
