The Alpha QX3 Hockey Shoulder Pads feature Warrior's new VPS (Ventilated Performance System) integrated into the sternum guard. That gives the Alpha QX3 shoulder pads lightweight and cool protection. Warrior's VPS technology utilizes perforated foam to allow air to flow through the pad without sacrificing protection. Around the VPS and running further down the sternum guard is medium-density foam reinforced with hard plastic (PE) inserts. At the back panel, Warrior again used PE inserts layered between thick mid-density foams for the spine guard.
