Bauer Nexus 1N Grip Hockey Stick (2017

Top shelf, bottom corner, even championships—hit what you’re aiming for every time with the new 2017 Bauer NEXUS 1N stick. With the new control shaft geometry and improved sweet spot technology, load your shot with ease and put the puck in the back of the net.

With the new control shaft geometry and easy load taper, we’ve improved our Sweet Spot Technology. Now players will more easily load their shot, giving them the accuracy they need to lead their teams in scoring throughout the season.

Improve your grip and contact with the stick through the new control shaft geometry, now with 14% rounder corners than the previous NEXUS 1N.

With the new moderate taper as the shaft nears the blade, players will get an easier loading shot that results in more consistency and more goals.

During play, slashes and pucks can cause tiny fractures in your stick. However, eLASTech Technology from BAUER stops the spread of these fractures, ensuring the NEXUS 1N is always ready to perform when you are.

A well-balanced stick can make the difference between scoring and missing. Monocomp Technology ensures consistent energy transfer to give you a consistent shot every time.

Threading the impossible pass and firing home unbelievably accurate goals are a result of TeXtreme carbon fiber—20% lighter than conventional carbon fiber without sacrificing durability.

POWER SENSE 2 Technology integrates an absorbent core into the blade of the stick to keep it lighter and better balanced, giving you more feel for the puck and your opposition less time to react.

2017 Bauer Blade Pattern Chart

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bauer Nexus 1N 2017 Grip Senior I bought three of these twigs. I’ve been sniping ginos and danglin’ with it. Love the grip and how light the stick is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The redesign hits a home run I’ve used this stick for about a month rock solid. The flex point is way smoother than the previous 2016 1N which was complete garbage . This model upgrade for 2017 brings the 1N back to the top. I wish all these stick companies would bring the P106 and P91A back to every line as an option not just the top tier of their line like the 1N, 1S, 1X . Half the NHL stilll uses a heel curve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool twig Bought 5 of these for my AAA season and love the performance and durability of the stick. Figured I could make some cash and bought 20 of these in bulk and started to sell them to the house league dusters you find sitting around the rink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good stick My second 1N. First still intact, just got another at this price and quality. Fortunately have not had same break issues described in other reviews. Play in competitive men’s league.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Best stick I’ve ever used. Precise stick handling and best wrist and slap shots I’ve taken in a long time. I’d like to take credit but all that changed was the stick.

I just bought a 2017 N1, 87, P88 curve and the lie says 6. The angle is actually slightly greater than my N8000 lie 5, curve P28. Your comment above says the entire line is Lie 5 -- so which is correct? The label - or my eyes and your comment above?

Asked by: RobE
The Bauer stick blade chart is correct. The P28 is going to be a lie 5, while the P88 is going to be a lie 6.

Senior Bauer sticks run 60" and the intermediates are 57". Thanks!

I'm a defenseman and to be honest I haven't scored a goal since I was a squirt. I was just wondering should I get the 1N or the 1S I don't take many shots and really only pass. Also which curve should I get for accurate passing and okay lift?

Asked by: cellyhard
It's tough to recommend a particular stick without knowing your preferences.. I will say that the 1S has a higher kick point with a softer blade. This will create for good puck feel and power on full-motion shots, such as slap shots.. The 1N tends to be more of an "all-around" stick with a mid kick point.

Is this a one piece stick? And would this work for a player who takes a good amount of every type of stick?

Asked by: Hockeydude27
Yes, this is a one piece stick and is a well-balanced stick that is good for any shot!
