The new Vapor 1X Lite ice hockey stick is a tornado of high performance, thanks to a wide range of forward-thinking, elite features. Elite-level players who have come to rely on Vapor’s signature near-instantaneous response will love what Bauer has done with this year’s model.

  • Micro Feel II for contoured comfort
  • Monocomp one-piece design for excellent shaft consistency
  • QRT+ taper for whip-quick responsiveness
  • TeXtreme carbon fiber for strong, lighter performance
  • eLASTech resin system for durability
  • Advanced Carbon Layering for increased edge durability
  • Aero-Sense 2 blade core for enhanced pop

Bauer uses its Micro Feel II in the Vapor 1X to create shaft dimensions that give the player rounded corners and deep, concave sidewalls for a comfortable, contoured feel. The stick construction is Bauer’s Monocomp one-piece design that boasts superior consistency throughout the shaft. The TeXtreme carbon fiber in the 1X is 20 percent lighter and 20 percent stronger than traditional carbon fiber. Finally, micro nanotubes in the eLASTech resin system help the stick feel newer for longer, while also helping to prevent microfractures from spreading. In short, the 1X is an extremely durable stick.

The Vapor 1X still has its signature ultra-low kick-point, but this model is a little more versatile than last year’s model thanks to a reinforced QRT+ taper with layers of asymmetrical carbon fiber to improve the blade stability by 20 percent. The 1X is now more versatile and performs better during hard passes, one-timers, and slap shots. This is good news for those elite-level Vapor users who take more slap-shots, and felt the blade opening up in last year’s model.

The quick-release of the 1X has also improved by 11 percent, with seven fewer grams of weight in the blade. The Vapor 1X is now the quickest releasing stick of any Bauer offering and has the lightest blade, as well, for a nearly perfect, balanced feel. Bauer achieves this thanks to its ACL—Advanced Carbon Layering—a series of strategic carbon layers in the blade that increase edge durability without compromising shot performance.

Combined with the Aero-Sense 2 blade core, the outer edge is much more durable and less prone to chipping and cracking. The sense layer—the aerofoam—on the inside is stiff and rigid, helping the 1X provide that quick pop that elite skaters expect from a Vapor stick.

The senior stick weighs 397 grams, 15 grams lighter than last year’s 1X. So what? Skaters will appreciate an 11 percent faster shot release with a 20 percent more stable blade, that’s what. Skaters accustomed to the quick release of the 1X can now play with a little more of a mid-kick style when they need to load up but still shoot with accuracy.

The new Vapor 1X Lite stick is the most versatile and quickest releasing Vapor hockey stick yet. Elite players will love the premium performance of this technologically-packed, top-end Bauer offering.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bauer Vapor 1X Lite Mixed reviews; I bought this stick for my 16 year old daughter and this one she loves but bought this exact same stick a few months ago and it broke the 2nd day using it. Tried to get it replaced thru Bauer but they refused it and were extremely difficult to deal with. A 16 yr old girl should not be breaking a $280 stick this easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!!!! Once again Bauer has made another outstanding stick. This stick is flawless... almost. the price point isn’t way to high and even though the stick is amazing no junior stick should cost 200 dollars

Does the senior bauer vapor 1x come in a lie 5?

Asked by: Mikey55
Some curves from Bauer do come with a lie 5. The P28, PM9 and the P92L5 are lie 5's. The P92 that you often see is a lie 6 so if you see P92L5 that would be your lie 5 option. Thanks!

Why is the stick 50 inches and the flylite 54 inches for the 50 flex

Asked by: Sal hockey 10
The 54" 50 flex junior stick is new for the Flylite Vapor generation. The typical standard length for junior sticks is 50". Thanks

So I’m 5’8 about 140 lbs. I’m  using a Bauer vapor 1x lite and it’s a 60 flex. I’m buying a new one soon but since I’m between 138-140 lbs I don’t know if I should get a 77 flex.. there’s is no 70 flex option.. is the 77 flex to stiff for me?..

Asked by: Olie27
player preference really when it comes to sticks . 77 flex should be the closest option for 140 lbs but again it is all player preference on how stiff of flex you like in a stick

is this stick really a 50 flex? i bought a junior stick and didn't cut it but feels stiffer

Asked by: keanu12
The 50 flex option will be a 50 flex stick. The kick point is lower in the shaft on the Vapor, so that is where you will feel most of the flex.

Is the Bauer p02 curve good for a foward, and isn’t it like Patrick Kane’s pro stock?

Asked by: Van8
The P02 is a great curve for getting close to the boards catching pucks. This is because of the square toe blade. The open heel curve allows for easy saucer passes and shots that rise quickly. Kane uses the Bauer P10 curve. Similar as its a longer square toe blade but its more of a mid curve rather than a heel like the P02. Thanks!
