The Bauer Vapor Flylite ice hockey stick is built for pure performance, offering a lightweight feel and quick release. Players who want an elite stick to help take their game to the next level will love what the new top-of-the-line Vapor model has to offer.

  • Low-kick point for the ultimate quick release
  • XE Taper technology for improved stability
  • Asymmetrical TeXtreme shaft for high performance
  • DuraFlex resin system for a stronger construction
  • Advanced Carbon Layering for reduced weight
  • AERO-SENSE 2 blade core for more pop with every shot

When purchasing a new hockey stick, there are many factors to consider to ensure you get the best model for your level and style of play. To start, it is important to focus on kick point. Finding the right kick point for your game will help take your shot, and your overall on-ice performance, to the next level. If you’re unsure which kick point suits you best, or you’re looking for an accurate assessment, visit your local Pure Hockey.

Bauer’s Vapor line is comprised of low-kick point sticks, built for players who take quick-motion shots, mostly shoot close to the net, and prefer release speed over power. Bauer enhances the low-kick point in the Vapor Flylite with new technologies and many high-level features, helping to give you your quickest shot yet.

One of these new features is the XE taper. This new taper design uses a unique elliptical geometry with a thinner construction and more rounded edges. These features help to decrease the weight of the stick while increasing your release speed. This updated design also helps stabilize the blade when taking one-timers or hard shots.

Moving up the stick, Bauer includes their Asymmetrical TeXtreme shaft technology. This trusted material is lightweight and responsive with a more rectangular shape allowing energy to move fluidly down the stick when shooting. This technology also offers you a balanced feel for high performance. Also included in the construction of this hockey stick is the DuraFlex resin system, increasing the entire shaft’s durability and flexural strength. With these benefits, you can lean heavily into shots for a balanced and powerful feel to complement your quick release.

The Vapor Flylite features Advanced Carbon Layering, or ACL technology, in both the shaft and blade. By using this high-end material throughout the stick, Bauer ensures the blade and shaft construction are both built to provide a lightweight and balanced feel. ACL works by using stronger, thinner internal carbon fiber layers, increasing the strength of the stick without adding unwanted weight.

The blade construction of the Flylite stick includes Bauer’s AERO-SENSE 2 blade core. This optimized technology offers a thicker blade geometry to improve durability without sacrificing performance. The stiff blade complements the low kick technologies to help increase your release speed while also giving your shots more pop.

Bauer combines some of their most trusted features with new, high-end technologies to offer an elite-level stick built for the pros. The Bauer Vapor Flylite is a great option for any player who wants to experience a lightweight model designed to give you a quick release.

2019 Bauer Curve Chart

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best release on the market I went from a true XC9 and this stick felt so amazing. I felt like I didn’t even have to do much and my shot will go where I want it. The release is the best you will find and it feels very good in the hands. I could stick handle very good with this stick. The snap shot comes off the stick better than I thought than I could ever shoot at a very accurate and fast shot. This is definitely worth the price point for the advantage you will get and overall just how much the stick will affect your game I feel confident with every shot I take and after at least 300 slap shots there is no sign of it breaking soon. 100% recommend for any forward or offensive defense. I love what your doing Bauer keep it up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bauer Vapor FlyLite Grip Composite Hockey Sticks New sticks are always a big investment (2 at $300+) and a bit of a rip-off industry wide. The store had a good selection with several different options to choose from. Staff members were very knowledgeable and able to help with product details. The hockey sticks come with a warranty, so be sure to test each one out during the warranty period.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FlyLite Surprised my son with stick and loves how light and easy stick handling and shoots a lot harder

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great stick but... Loved this stick while it lasted. The release is amazingly quick and my shot is harder than ever. But, about a couple of weeks after having it, i started feeling vibratio ns and sounds in the stick, which means micro fracture. Unfortunately, going into the boards the shaft snapped and although the performance is good, durability is an issue. Will probably be switching to a ccm trigger 4 or something beefier because I don’t have 300 dollars to spend every 3 months.

Asked by: SleeZyFiSh20
The Bauer Vapor FlyLite Stick is the lightest and quickest-releasing retail stick Bauer Hockey has ever produced. By utilizing ADV-inspired ACL technology, the FlyLite weighs an incredible 387 grams (in senior) . 2X team stick is Weight: 413 grams (based on an 87 flex)

My son wants this stick left, 70 flex, p92M, but the intermediate version is about 2 inches too short, he weighs about 135 and growing fast. Should I put an extension in or go up to the senior? What issues, concerns should I be thinking about? Thanks!

Asked by: wakedog
best advise would to put a extension in the stick , as you can always cut the extension down to fit specific needs . Senior stick will be too long and flex will be too high for that weight

My daughter 5'3 and still growing we are thinking of buying this stick but it said the product was 57 inches and that is too small for her. Can we buy it larger and cut it to her ideal height? Or does it come in different sizes?

Asked by: Christie
Something to keep in mind is how the stick is measured vs how we traditionally measure player height. An intermediate stick is going to be taller than your 5'3" daughter. I'm 5'9" and an intermediate stick comes up to my nose so, in theory, I could take that stick and use it without cutting it. Issue would be the flex is too low but height wise I would be good. You'll end up having to cut the stick a little bit and that's fine. I may suggest getting a lower flex knowing that you will need to cut the stick down. Cutting a stick will make it stiffer and that could be an issue depending on the flex she likes to use.
