The CCM Jetspeed FT2 hockey stick is built for the speed of today’s game. With a new design and plenty of high-end features, elite players will appreciate the performance benefits they receive from this top-of-the-line model.

  • Hybrid flex profile for enhanced speed and response
  • JF-80 blade for enhanced control
  • Jetspeed shaft for a comfortable and secure feel
  • X-Flow technology for a reduced weight
  • Sigmatex material for increased strength

There are a variety of factors to consider when purchasing a new stick. But when thinking about your on-ice performance, it is important to place a focus on kick point. Finding the right kick point will help take your shot to the next level and have a positive impact on your game. If you’re unsure which kick point is best for you, visit your local Pure Hockey for an accurate assessment.

The Jetspeed line is considered CCM’s mid-kick model, ideal for players who take a variety of shots from everywhere and value versatility. In the Jetspeed FT2, CCM redefines their mid-kick stick by creating a hybrid flex profile. This creates a hinge effect which optimizes the loading zone to create an excellent mix of quickness and response.

The FT2 includes many features to complement the mid-kick point, offering excellent performance. One new technology is the JETFUEL-80 blade. The JF-80 has a lightweight construction with a dampened core. These features help to give you the feel you’re looking for when handling the puck. The JF-80 also has a tactile surface and reinforced heel and toe areas for enhanced durability and strength.

CCM uses their Jetspeed shaft for the FT2, featuring R-geometry for improved comfort. This technology offers rounded corners, concave sides, and a streamlined shape from top to bottom to give you the secure feel you’re looking for when you’re on the ice. Also included in the shaft is X-Flow technology. This advanced molding innovation eliminates excess resin and voids to improve the shaft’s quality, consistency, and durability while reducing the overall weight of the stick.

For the material, CCM uses their Sigmatex technology. Developed specifically for CCM by a world leader in aerospace technology, this high-performance spread tow fabric features an innovative weaving process that provides top-level strength and resiliency while keeping the stick extremely lightweight.

CCM’s redesigned Jetspeed line is built for high-performance. If you’re a player who skates 4-5+ times per week and needs top-end performance features in a mid-kick model, the Jetspeed FT2 stick is a great option.

2018 CCM Curve Chart

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stick, but not for everyone. Here is some context: My son is on the ice 3-6x a week and works in the garage 3x a week. He plays AAA 11u hockey, shoots right and favors backhand and snap shots (no clappers) and weighs 94 lbs (no gear), therefore, uses a 40 flex stick (1/2 your body weight is a typical rule of thumb on flex). This year he has used the Bauer Vapor Flylite P88 and CCM SuperTaks AS1 P29 and has prefered the CCM JetSpeed FT2 P29. The P29 is great for backhand shots and passes. We've noticed as he's become more capable of creating flex on his snap shot that the dual-kickpoint on the JetSpeed makes his shot harder (4-6mph faster on radar) and allows for a quicker release (unverified). He did break one of his JetSpeed sticks earlier in the season, but not after 5 months of heavy use. I'm not super concerned, but we'll see as he continues to use his current stick (2 months of current use). The main reason we have not liked the Vapor Flylite is the extra length on the stick (two plus inches). Cutting the stick would increase the flex making it stiffer and might be fine when he hits 100lbs. So without cutting the stick his shot is further out from his body and creating flex has been considerably more difficult (his height is in the 85%, so above average). Avoid this stick if you play house hockey. No need to spend the money. If your child is an outlier in height then you migh consider the Flylite or True sticks (both are considerably taller sticks). If your kid is enamored by the clapper the dual kickpoint might not do anything for you (or your child) and you might want a higher flex.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 broken sticks. Total Garbage. FT2 and a Pro2 both broken in exact same spot. Less than 20 hours of practice/game time on both sticks at a peewee B1 level. Both broke where shaft is conformed to the blade. Will see what CCM says being more than 30 days after purchase. Complete Garbage.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good stick, terriable durability I got this stick on sale, and was excited to use it. I used it during my try outs. 1 mouth in, I started to see a crack along the back side of the power shaft. A mouth later I started to see the crack expand, the later turn into a small hole. Atvthe end of the second mouth, I took a slap shot and the blad went flying into the air. I really love the rbz line and really loved the new jetspeed line. I just wish they were more durable

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage First one broke in three weeks. Second one broke in two days. Absolutely garbage stay away. Six other of my sons teammates broke theirs as well in similar time. Twelve year olds shouldn’t be breaking sticks in two games
