For the shaft material, you will find ALUPLI composite. This was first seen in the Vizion stick but is a new feature in the JetSpeed line. It combines thin aluminum layers with carbon fiber on the outward part of the shaft to increase impact resistance.

 

CCM uses R-geometry design for the shaft shape and design. This is a streamlined shape with rounded corners and concave sides so the stick will feel comfortable in your hands and bring a ton of performance to your game. For grip, the FT8 Pro uses FT microfeel, which is a raised grip on the bottom edges of the shaft’s mid-section to ensure perfect control. 

 

A brand-new feature for the FT8 Pro is the reengineered blade, which includes unique local stiffness in its different sections. The Soft-Stiff EVO blade uses a very soft heel for enhanced stickhandling and passing while the stiffer toe improves shooting performance. This blade is a mix between the FT6 Pro (stiff toe) and the FT7 Pro (soft heel). 

 

This is the first time in the JetSpeed line that CCM is offering blade patterns with +1/4. This makes the blade slightly taller to provide more surface area for catching and tipping pucks.

 

For materials in the shaft and blade, you will find Helicoid and the new Sigma ST2X. This is the next evolution of sigmatex’s carbon weave further improving manufacturing consistency to create stronger sticks. Helicoid technology is a layup structure that angles the carbon layer fibers in smaller increments to increase impact strength.
